nice! my buddy had one, he used to come out wit us. i would trim right up at about 10 knots and give him a 2 ft wake to jump on. when i wasn't making a ramp for buddy, my sidewinder with a 140 V4 would bury the speedo which went to 70 mph, but when you got up to them speeds, it had a tendency to...- Rumbledawg

thanks pretty happy with it so far, no surprises. it did take awhile to find it, i was surfin' the ads for 'bout a year and a half before finding this one. trans is a 3500, same as my stepper. as i stated, lotta miles on my stepper, but never had a single trans issue...hopefully this one is just...- Rumbledawg

started getting rid of the silliness....grille guard and tool box are gone, decals are next. will be putting a 2" lift, just enuff to get some decent 33" mud tires under it. later in the yr i will be swapping the stepper box off my old truck onto this one- Rumbledawg

Steering slop
did you lift it to fit 33's? a dropped pitman or raised steering arm will get your draglink level and keep your geometry right. would check the pitman, drag link, steering arm, tie rod ends, ball joints for slop and as mentioned, the rag joint. i too run a redhead with 38's and it steers with...- Rumbledawg

Is rear side window identical on 1990 Burb and 1980s dual/bonus cab?
the sub doors and winda's will fit the crewcab. the only diff is the earlier trucks have, besides a different style door panel, is the door linkage to open the door is slightly different. i'm running '77 rear sub doors on my '85 crew. i did have to re-bend the door rods for the handle slightly...- Rumbledawg

Fuel gauge reading past full
when my gauge went to 3 o'clock about 10 yrs ago, i had no ohm meter so i basically did everything you've done with zero results. new switching valve, new grounds, etc, etc, etc. kept pissing in the wind hoping for a better result and getting nothing. i figured there had to be something wrong...- Rumbledawg

if it looks like this, then your sender wire is grounding out somewhere. pink wire for later trucks and tan i belive for older trucks. quick easy way to check, run a wire from your 4 plug under the hood to the switching unit. if your gauge goes back to normal, start tracing your pink (or tan)...- Rumbledawg

EFI Conversion
depends on where you live. being out in the flatlands, a well tuned carb would do fine. i put efi in my truck cause i live in the mountains, doesn't matter if i'm at sea level or 8000ft up, runs the same all day whatever the altitude. plus being a 4x4, i have no off camber starvation issues...- Rumbledawg

the pump will run whenever the key is on and getting a signal from the ecu. if the pump relay was bad you would't be able to start your truck, and in the event of a stall or even a crash, then it would be getting a no run signal from the ecu...last thing ya want is 45 psi fuel spraying...- Rumbledawg
