    Yeah, mechanical advance should be about 20 degrees, so you want base timing of 18* BTDC to give 38 total. Or you can just check the timing at 2500 rpm and aim at 38* BTDC at that rpm.

    As far as the cam, read the threads above! Everything you want to know is there. I've written it once already. 2101 fits the Qjet and will work fine. The 2601 will work a bit better in hot weather but *must* have a thermac air cleaner or it will suck big time in the cold.

    Nope. The stock heads on the 350/260 crate engine, which I think are 882s. For lots of torque in the bottom, heads aren't really an issue. The flow rate is not high enough at those rpms.
