Battery / charging isolator.
As my truck is a "Camper Special", I'm installing a second battery. Tray is in and a "so-so" battery is in as well. I would like to be able to charge both batteries, however I wish to isolate the Aux. battery output from the main battery. I was told to get a battery isolator. I've seen 3 post...- hey mister

Went to the candy store today...no sweets today, but...
Here's a bin of "Expired" flex plates. I would like to meet the ice salesman stationed in Alaska. He has to be the Einstein behind the idea of, steel parts with "expiration" dates. Well, if getting in is the issue then maybe a collapable step. Tie a rope to it and pull it into the cab. Getting out is just a slide off the seat. Doesn't require any hole drilling.- hey mister

You are spot on. I just remembered that I had to weld the replacement for the original batt tray. Once I remembered that, it made sense. It's not pink pixie snot. It's hot Lincoln glue. Crisis everted...lol- hey mister

...then I looked back in the catelog I ordered the parts from. Them knuckleheads don't even show any way for the batt tray to attach to the batt tray support, under it. How freaking lame! And being that the representation is just a line sketch, it's not like there's a clear view of how...- hey mister

...then I wanted to see how things lined up between the aux tray support and the aux battery tray. Hmmm... None of the holes in the support line up with the holes in the tray, which is perched on top. And if I orient the tray with the 2 holes (which should of line up) with similiar 2 holes in...- hey mister

Thanks, I jumped back on here to say, I found the spot. I was expecting holes to already be there, but they are not. There are "dimples" where holes need to be drilled. I discovwred all of this by taking the battery tray base/support and moving it around the driver's side inner fender until it...- hey mister

Yep, ya guessed it. A couple weeks ago, while tooling down the x-way, I heard the new header gasket give up. (Sound change) I don't think the headers have been on more than a month, with maybe 300 miles on them. Yea, I know...folks said there would be gasket issues or bolts constantly backing...- hey mister
