    So now I'm wondering why GM used carrier bearings on some models and not others? At first I was thinking it was the difference between 2 or 4 wheel drive but highdesertranger says he has one on his K30 while my V2500 burb doesn't. Tried to google it and found no reason for the different styles.

    I think your compressor will work fine. The only limit on the small ones is they have a lower duty cycle so they'll shut off if you're trying to air up tires or running tools. The compressor I run for the Ride Rites isn't hooked to a tank, it's just plumbed straight to the bags and pumps them up...

    I made mine from a bowl I got at the 99 cent store. No way you'll notice a difference by itself, I consider it a small piece of the "more power" puzzle but figured for a buck it was worth the effort.

    You never need to replace the glass if you protect it. I bought a 5-pack roll of window protective stick-on sheets from ebay and replace them as needed. The glass doesn't even need to be removed, just peel off the old sheet, stick on the new, and keep blasting.
