Dang, missed again. I'll bump into you one day, Patrick....... I used to work about 1/4 mile down Hacks from there. -
Engine mount replacement?
Of course it's much easier with the engine out...... I ordered my mounts from Western Chassis when I ordered some chassis parts. I also filled the empty spaces in the mounts with 3M 8609 black urethane. Figured it will take out some vibration. Before and after photos- PeteJr

I would guess it's to engage the AC compressor, if'n it's been changed over at some point. Ask me how I know. -

In the last couple days.......... Got the underside of the hood cleaned and painted for the new insulation pad. Got the bed back on thanks to a few buddies. Bolted bed in. Cleaned and painted the tailgate trunnion parts and reassembled. Put tailgate on. A buddy came by and helped me sight in... -

I feel your pain. Same for me. New rubber and motors. Driver side fine, passenger side is the issue. Talked to buddy last night, he has the same issue on his '84, mine's an '83. -
New one wire alternator/voltmeter gauge question
Rick, Davis, Br Rick, David & Bruce, thanks for taking time to answer. Bruce I have the Painless (30700) charge wire kit and talked to CVF about how to run the correct ground from the alternator. I was "almost" sure I was on the right track about the VOLTMETER. My truck has one as opposed to...- PeteJr

New one wire alternator/voltmeter gauge question
My new engine came with a nice 140 amp 1 wire alternator. The question is ....... Can I connect this to my stock voltmeter gauge? I've read/been told 20 different answers. Been told it will be OK. Been told if you hook it up, it'll fry the new alternator. If so, which wire is it and does it...- PeteJr
