What new tools have you got lately?

I have an Ace in the next town over. I will try them out if I haven't pitched those sockets already. I haven't tried a ratchet but they wouldn't consider a single socket... Who knows maybe I got someone on a bad day.

What new tools have you got lately?

I said I would post later after getting some use in on these things. I have more time in on the 1/4 drive ratchet and really like them. The 90 tooth ratchets aren't the best action money can buy but are a huge improvement over the craftsman ratchets that come in those blow mold kits they sold 20...

What new tools have you got lately?

Well I got my cherry picker jack in and it works to raise and lower the boom unloaded. Sure is nice just holding a button to raise it too! I haven't had an opportunity to lift an engine with it yet because the corvette has it blocked in. In other news... Harbor Freight sent me the side shelf for...

What have you done to your square lately??

Awesome, I put the 4.5/6 kit on my truck and have been dying to know what it's going to look like. It's scattered all over the garage right now though.

How much do you have your truck lowered? I think it looks good!

    1965 MG Midget

Ha, my friend has a red TR3. I call it Stewart Little but I don't think the mouse drove a TR3. He doesn't have that neat top with his but I think he has one of those half tonneu tops that covers the passenger seat

    Which carb to buy?

In the Qjet's defense my knowledge of tuning a carb was 0. This was in my "gaining experience" phase that I am still wondering when I will come out of. This was in the early stages of it though :laughing1:

    Which carb to buy?

My experience with that has been black smoke and coughing come with that roar :rotflmao::rotflmao:

    Which carb to buy?

I had this same issue from the edelbrock I had. It worked fine for a couple of weeks but started that afterward. Do you have an electric fuel pump on it? I did and assumed it was making too much pressure for the floats to cut it off or my pressure regulator was failing. The cam was failing all...

    Which carb to buy?

This guy does a great job explaining the basic tuning concepts on both the Holley and the Edelbrock! Thanks for sharing that video.

    Which carb to buy?

I got a 670 Street Avenger Holley I intend to run on my 2wd with a 350. I have even thought about getting a carb intake for an LS and still running the Holley.

What new tools have you got lately?

My cherry picker ram has leaked since I got it so I used this as an excuse to get an air over hydraulic ram to replace it from harbor freight. Also ordered one of their one drawer tech carts to try out also. I’ll snap some pics when I get them and put it all together.

What new tools have you got lately?

Someone on here mentioned Tekton tools a while back and I have heard other good things about them as well. Today I ordered a ratchet set to see what I think about them. I was down to one working 1/4 drive ratchet and I really like the flex head ratchets so what the heck, time to try it out. If I...

What new tools have you got lately?

Major score this weekend. My buddy came over to give me a well worn M18 fuel grinder. He had replaced it for a customer because it was "broken". He told the guy he would toss the old one for him and gave it to me to see if I could use it for parts or whatever. I found the broken part was the...

    What’s my winch really worth?

Looks like they sell for 1,000 to 1,500 used on ebay. New ones are 2800 from Warn. The downside you face is the fact that there are other 8k winches that sell for 500 new so convincing someone to spend double or triple what a new one costs will be a trick. On the other hand this model is...

Do we have a show us your shop thread?

Your shop looks a lot like mine with the exception that you’ve done a much better job of keeping the floor from filling up! I drag more crap home than I can fix lol

Do we have a show us your shop thread?

My shop is pretty full. Luckily I can get the mower, quad, bike, and my oldest c10 out and get a bit more space. The Vette should be on the road again soon. It’s just getting upgraded accessories to serpentine belt drive and getting the sniper efi kinks lined out. The square and camaro are...

What new tools have you got lately?

I got my m12 tools a couple of days ago. I am impressed with the weight loss from the m18 stuff but that comes at a cost of what they are capable of. I can tell a fairly significant difference in the m12 and m18 impact and drill. Each have their place though so I am overall pretty happy. The m12...

What new tools have you got lately?

Ordered some new m12 Milwaukee tools today. Got a ratchet, impact and drill with batteries and charger. Should go well with the m18 stuff I already have. That stuff should be here this week sometime. Finished setting up this new tool yesterday though. It was a bit more expensive than the...

Advice for rebuilding a 350 on a budget

This is what I am leaning towards. What did you use to clean it out? Mine isn't in big chunks like that. Glittery oil is more accurate for what mine looked like inside when the valves started chattering.

Advice for rebuilding a 350 on a budget

I'm to the point in my rebuild on my 78 c-10 that I need to start on the engine. My truck didn't have the original engine in it but it was pretty tired and wasn't running properly when it got parked a decade before I got it. I have a couple of options and am curious about the most cost...

    2001 YZ 250

The yz found itself a new home yesterday. I suppose this thread is done now. The KTM won for the trail riding I do and the wife was convinced I couldn't ride both at the same time but she was unwilling to let me try :happy175:

    2001 YZ 250

I may not update this one anymore. It's pretty well done enough that I'll be riding it with no time for the internet. That jump got video'd though in case you guys want to see it. https://photos.app.goo.gl/XXcpet5isfaKZzvs6

    2001 YZ 250

Got everything wrapped up last night except fixing the forks really highlighted how bad the rear shock is. :( I still need to get a rear fender since the one that came on it was for a newer bike and didn't fit good and now rebuild the rear shock but pretty good. It was dark last night so no...
