Hummmmmm .. ?? Where to locate the oil temp sending unit on the motor ? My thoughts are to drill & tap the GM cooler adapter ... Or, be less work involved to install it at the front of the block in one of the threaded ports .. Be a little more wire to run, but I like doing work the easy...

    Happy to be here.

Welcome from where the Lizards grow huge and have sharp teeth .. A koala was sitting in a tree smoking a joint when a lizard walks up and says "Hey koala what are you doing?" The koala answers "Smoking a joint, come up and have some." The lizard climbs up and the two share the joint...

Wanted a small, thin LED oil temp gauge to go inside of the glovebox .... This one was made for motorcycles .. Perfect for my gig ... The trans standalone controller is in the box .. Keeping the dashboard from looking too busy is my aim ... Pretty dang busy already !!

Most likely this will be the cooler I'll be buying .. Has the AN-10 fitting welded on .. As far as the hose lining, don't recall, do think I bought this hose for a circle track car that had a cooler up front for cooling the rear end lube .. ??

Both the oil and trans coolers have built in thermostats to regulate oil flow through the cooler based on engine temperature, ensuring optimal cooling only when needed.

Not sure what I'll be using for lines just yet .. ?? The Fittings that are on the cooler adapter are AN -10 stuff at the moment .. Kind of depends on the cooler that will be in play, which I haven't got around to nailing down .. I do have a few transmission coolers on hand, but their hose ends...

Speaking of oil .. This mod may be overkill .. My thought here was to add more lubrication to the cam chain .. A .040" hole drilled into the NPT 1/4" plugs will do the job .. Also doing a bit of protection by installing screens on the oil return from the top end to the pan ..

Now that I've took the bore .060" oversize I'm wondering if it's going to be a bear to keep cool ?? Thought is to add a oil cooler to help the cause .. Whatcha think, Fellows ?

The complete motor on the stand is from a 1988 motorhome .. Has 75,000 miles on the clock .. Tis a two bolt main with a cast crank and peanut port heads ...
