    Show your daily driver

    Well, I just sold my '75 K/20 Scottsdale today. I've had it 5 years and it was my pet. I still need to sell a 1972 Olds Toronado, 1972 Olds Ninety Eight coupe and a 1983 Olds Toronado diesel. After that, all I have is an XV1700 Yamaha and a 2013 Nissan Frontier then I'll be a gypsy again.

    Haynes manual suggest silicone dielectric grease for ignition module?

    I've always used "dielectric grease" it's never failed and I got it when I worked for the USCG. They used it on their Jayhawk helicopters, good enough for me.

    Cab and bed gap

    It may be due to a different year box than the cab. I'm not familiar with any differences but I've seen mismatched boxes installed on frames that don't quite match up.

    My '75 has a factory mechanical gauge. I prefer mechanical gauges like I prefer manual transmissions.

    No start - fuel issue?

    That's one of the first things I'd check too, trash or plugged fuel pick up in tanks then work my way forward. I had an Olds where it would do the same thing, it was the mesh screen in the fuel pickup in the tank.

    Alternator not charging at idle

    Sounds like a faulty diode in the alternator. Also check for a loose belt and poor grounds.
