76 K10 rear main seal
There were leaks but this one occurred after startup and only during running of the vehicle (as of right now). I will recheck the size of the spot when i get home to see if it had grown. This spot was not there before i did the test startup yesterday. The new Valve covers and gaskets look clean- killerpiller

You are everywhere on this forum! haha Might ask for your guidance on a similar fix on my truck. Ordered some oil dye to pinpoint a leak but after the start up today, there new oil leaks on the ground and starter so it leads me to believe my rear main seal is a likely culprit.- killerpiller

Yeah the mounting tab wasnt in the same location. It had a Z bracket that i mounted to the back of the block on the passenger side then the Z bracket mounted to the actual bracket on the tube. Ahh yeah thats not possible because it is not a real lug.. it is a ****** nut that isnt very thick. So the nut is recessed into the wheel lug pocket and the socket doesnt get much of bite. Great tips! What does the wax do? I have been using pb blaster and tried a breaker bar. The breaker bar put a wierd angle on the nut so it was rounding out the nut. Thats a good idea. I figured because these calipers are so old they are due for a replacement. New caliper was only $40. Are the chevy oem calipers good enough to drill and retap or is it a bandaid? I know it depends on condition of calipers. Mine dont look like they have ever been replaced.- killerpiller
