Interior Hood Release Pics, please send me one.

Thanks. This truck is apart being restored so I can get to everything for now, ha. I want to fill in some holes in the bottom of the metal dash that's not being used, and I didn't want to fill in any that I may need. I took a lot of pics before I tore it apart, but of course I didn't take any...

Ok, thanks. That's great, I like that better than mounting to plastic like I thought they were.

Thanks for the video! I "assume" that's an original mount, not what I was expecting but could be.

Thanks, what year is that? That looks like an earlier design .

Ok, thanks. I was thinking it mounted in a hole where I put the red arrow, but idk for sure.

Interior Hood Release Pics, please send me one.

I added a pick of the original. It's a 78 Scottsdale so it has the narrow kick panel. I'm not sure if any shorter kick panels have the provision for the cable. (Or just drill a hole in the plastic?)

Well, I'm not sure either but it wouldn't hurt, thanks.

Interior Hood Release Pics, please send me one.

Hello, I'm upgrading to an inside hood release. I have all the parts except the cable and the interior kick panel. Can someone please send me a pic of what the inside looks like? I think the cable mounts to the kick panel but not sure. There's not any other trucks around here for me to look...

    Hello from North Texas

Oh ok, it's prob the same one. It was off of 982 in the Branch area. Sounds like it just needs a good ol fashioned tune up. You're in Allen? I'm just a few miles from you. I'm currently restoring a 78. Maybe you can drop by sometime, send me a PM if you like.

Need help identifying holes in dash.

Now that you mention that dad had a cb in it at one time! I totally forgot about that. I remember it being a JC Penney radio. Thanks.

Need help identifying holes in dash.

Mine's a 78 Scottsdale also, holes are similar. I'll fill in all that I don't need, I can't stand a bunch of excess holes (although nobody will care or notice but me, ha). We had this truck since new, dad had fog lights on it back in the day so there was a switch mounted somewhere, he prob...

Need help identifying holes in dash.

Wow, great pics, thank you!! That's the color this truck was originally, Mariner Blue Met. Now that I see what holes I need I may fill in the unused ones (maybe).

Need help identifying holes in dash.

Hello, I did take a lot of pics before I tore my truck down for restore, "but" apparently I didn't take enough. I want to fill in all the holes that are not factory in the metal part of the dash. Truck is a 78C10 Scottsdale. Single tank. I hope my pics are enough, i can take better if...

    AC Condenser Question

Thanks, the oem fan is a good idea. I've been through that before on hot rods, I had a large one from a 97 Lincoln in my 86 Cutlass with 455 and NEVER ran hot, even above 90 outside and at red lights, and I didn't have a belt driven fan.

    AC Condenser Question

I have a 78 C10 that is still apart getting restored and I'm looking for an AC Condenser that is parallel flow, not tube and fin like the original, that has the inlet and outlet on the passenger side instead of driver side like original. I see a lot of aftermarket but has anyone already done...

Another "What is this hole for"?

Never mind, I see that I asked this before a while back. I guess I'm losing it.

Another "What is this hole for"?

Oh, from the inside? I bet it is, I'll go with that! I have a ton of pics during tear down but none that show that. There was several plastic retainers with rubber tips that held the insulation in, glad I didn't fill it in.

Another "What is this hole for"?

Ok, I have another hole that I can't identify. It's on the firewall right under the holes for the heater hoses. I'm doing some work to the firewall and don't know if I should block it off or not, I don't remember anything it's for. The blower housing covers it up, any ideas? Thanks.
