Painting the cab and firewall quesion

Thanks for the reply, sounds good, I'll for sure consider that. I guess that would mean painting with the doors off and on stands as well? I don't mind doing that but my shop's not all that big. If the doors are painted on the cab I'll still have to tape off to keep sealer over spray out of...

Radiator Support Bushings: Is this correct?

Hello All. I have a set of Energy Suspension cab and radiator support bushings # 4109G. The cab bushings fit but the support bushings seem to be wrong. See the pics. The hole in the frame is quite a bit larger than the center of the bushing. The support can slide around quite a bit. I haven't...

Painting the cab and firewall quesion

Well, I finally got my cab back on the frame. The inside of the cab is painted. The bodywork is done on the cab and doors. I haven't started on the bed yet so it will be a while before the final exterior paint goes on. I already fit and "body worked" the door gaps and removed the doors...

Box for two 10" that will fit behind the seat??

I bet it was cool to see. I won't do that to mine though, ha.

Box for two 10" that will fit behind the seat??

That looks nice. I see that "Subthump" has two boxes that has the exact dimensions that I'm looking for, they have a website and are on ebay. But I can't get a response so that's a no go.

Box for two 10" that will fit behind the seat??

Thanks, I'll search for one for that truck and look at the dimensions.

Box for two 10" that will fit behind the seat??

Mounted my seat so I could take measurements for the sub box. I bought an Amazon box that is wedge shape: 7.5" bottom, 5" top, 15" tall, and 20" wide. The seat touches the top of the box when it's all the way back, looks like if it was 3" at the top it would work fine. Nobody makes this size...

Good idea, thank you. You went with sealed box?

Box for two 10" that will fit behind the seat??

Do you know the width /height/length of your box? Does the seat go back?

Box for two 10" that will fit behind the seat??

Thanks for the reply. That does look good. The Rockville box is what I was looking at on Amazon. There's a RSTS10 and an RSTS10V, looks like the only real difference is the cubic feet, not sure which would be better for a 10".

Box for two 10" that will fit behind the seat??

I haven't been on here for a while but I'm looking for either two separate boxes, or one single box that will hold two 10" subs. Something slim enough so the seat will go all the way back as normal without butchering the seat or anything else. I've done research and found some expensive...

Would you run these lug nuts? Studs are a little short.

Sounds good, thanks everyone for the replies. I'll run it this way. I really like this forum, it's unlike others I've been on like the diesel and hot rod forums where you get your head ripped off for asking questions, seems more civilized here.

Would you run these lug nuts? Studs are a little short.

I checked the rotations last night, seems like it was 6 turns. I did find some studs on Amazon that are .500 longer although I don't trust the quality. Taking up the .125 I'm short that would give me .375 extra.

Would you run these lug nuts? Studs are a little short.

I just found some on Amazon, not sure of quality but I'm sure they are overseas. But they are .500 longer, so making up for being .125 short I'll have .375 extra. I don't think I'll have to cut them down for the rally derby caps but we'll see since I don't have them yet.

Would you run these lug nuts? Studs are a little short.

3 threads shy of being flush with the stud. I've got .440 of stud sticking out of the wheel, it was .540 before with the drum. Sorry, I forgot to add my pics, they are there now.

Would you run these lug nuts? Studs are a little short.

Thanks for the Dorman link, I'll knock out a stud later today from a spare rear end and do some measuring. Trucks in pieces so pics won't do much good, it's just a 78 C10 with rear disc swap.

Would you run these lug nuts? Studs are a little short.

I just put on the rear disc set up. I did the Chevy Astro van rear disc swap. The center thickness of the rotor vs the original drum is about .115 thicker, so the wheel sits out just a tad less than 1/8" more than it did. The wheel in the pics are not what I'm going to run but will use the...

Stock type front sway bar or end link type?

I figure it'll be fine, will just have more small parts to wear out. But it looks like it's the only option outside a factory one from a salvage yard. Plus I already have the kit for front and rear.

Stock type front sway bar or end link type?

First I want to say thank you to all that has replied to all my previous questions on here as I make my slow but steady progress on getting my truck back together. I have a 78 C10 that did not come with front sway bar but does have all the holes. I bought the Belltech 9908 kit that has the...

Rear disc conversion brake line pics and suggestions, need pics.

I guess my main decision is whether to use braided stainless the whole length from the T on the rear end to the caliper, or to use metal lines up to the axle housing end then use hose to the caliper. That's why I want to see pics. Thanks for those that already posted pics and replies. I'm...
