Necessity is ??????? Study this pic

Structural parts of your boom has or could fail so you secured it with a chain; using the manual winch to lift the engine off the pickup bed just enough so you can drive off and lower it to a an engine stand. OR Seeing how many replies you can get to your question?

    4.1 mpg?

Are you certain your odometer is correct? Do a mileage check on the road to confirm accuracy. I didn’t recalibrate my Duramax after a larger tire change so the miles and speed was incorrect.

    Another fuel selector valve question

Holley pump located on the inside frame rail under passenger seat between the selector valve and engine. Thank you for the information. I couldn’t find the selector on the website, please provide part number?

    Another fuel selector valve question

EFI now carbureted using a noisy Holley red pump pulling from dual tanks with six port selector valve. This evening I was going to adjust noisy rocker arms so I started truck and it died which appeared to be fuel issue. Both tanks are full but I hit the other tank switch anyway. I then noticed...

What have you done to your square lately??

Fixed a dent which I missed repairing a dent in the tail light area a month ago. Also ground down last two welded holes in box corners. Losing outside sunlight so not making much progress after work during the week. Fall hunting and fishing gonna cut into my progress as well. And, we know winter...

Taking off passenger head about 37 bolts so far

Yea, remove the water pump and radiator, don’t want to crash the radiator with the water pump when you remove the engine. Breaking it free of the engine mounts and tranny sometimes is a little unpredictable. You should have labeled those hoses and wires, and taken pics or it’s going to be a...

For the two tone paint, white on top, where do the two different colors line out in the door jams?

    Cab aluminum body belt

I did too until I found a narrow one in the bone yard and saw pictures with different size. I think @PrairieDrifter is correct. I’m a little partial to the wider version.

    Cab aluminum body belt

Why did some models come with the narrow or wide variety? I have both available but not sure what I should mount on my 83 k20.

Welded up Swiss cheese (30 drill holes) box, this morning. First, had to wasp killer spray a nest inside the stake hole.

    Head scratchinh situation

when in doubt, I pull a plug wire off, put a small screwdriver into the plug socket, lay it across the exhaust manifold, and look for spark. No spark, I meter for 12 volt power at the coil, then to the next component until I find the failure point. If spark, make sure number one lines up with...

What have you done to your square lately??

Por15 the inner box supports which I just patched. I also pushed out a few dents on the driver side box panel. PO stuck some bondo in the deep dent which was separating from the metal. I was able to get at it from the upper tiny access near the tail gate latch.

    1970 & 1971 Kawasaki 100cc G4TR's

Get em in good working order and hit a local vintage race, could be fun riding with others competing on similar equipment. Caution, riding something newer will make you second guess your decision. The price is certainly right. I used to buy bikes like that for $20 back in the 80s, usually...

    Scissor Jack

The hardware to keep it on the inner fender is still there but no bottle Jack. What’s the maximum lift on the bottle Jack? My truck has 4” lift and larger tires.

    Best seat options ?

In 84 when I was working for the Chevy dealer as a car runner, I was able to buy a brand new bench cloth seat for $20 which I installed in my 1964 C10. A seat like that probably sells for crazy money now. I think it went to the crusher with the truck, it was still in great shape too.

Yes, that’s what I was referring to in my post.

    Scissor Jack

This should work and mount on the inner fender, right? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BJV4XV49/ My truck is missing the Jack and I just need to pickup a spare tire so I can drive it more.

    New Bitchin Camaro…

That drive train is pretty much bullet proof and simple to diagnose and work on, steel timing chain versus a doomed belt. My 3800 Bonneville is going strong at nearly 300k and it’s been amazingly reliable and inexpensive to drive. 3800pro has some good info and smarties too. Great find, drive it!

What have you done to your square lately??

4 corners welded, filled and semi protected. I been pushing a bit on the pedal to get this far so I can work on some other neglected vehicles. I’m gonna take a break till it cools off a little bit. I very much dislike the filling and sanding process especially since I am working outside.
