After work, I Removed the two bolts I couldn’t get yesterday. The high speed grinder took care of what the drill couldn’t. The square holes are round which explains why they rotated when hit with the impact. I will need to purchase some square washers to weld to the bed. Can one buy those or... -

Removed 6 of the 8 bed bolt nuts; four were easy with the impact gun, 2 not bad with a 1/2” ratchet. The last two will need to be drilled tomorrow since it got dark and cold. I tried welding angle iron but couldn’t penetrate the bolt for some reason. Maybe tomorrow after work I can get it done... -

Thank you! Agree, cab interior was a challenge. I guessed a day or two of prep work. It took a couple of weeks in my spare time from beginning to end for disassemble, sanding, taping, priming and painting. In a few areas I probably will wet sand and buff to finish it off. Ton of work and I’m... -

Squirted the top, interior tomorrow with orange. Amazingly only one bug found the sticky paint. Some orange peel but what can you expect painting outdoors at 55F. -

Rotor discoloration, pulsing
It turned out to be a warped rear rotor, the metal tab which keeps the pads off the rotor was worn off, unsure why it wore off but bottom line it’s repaired. Replaced the axle bearing, seal and changed the front differential fluid. Next, change the rear differential fluid….always something...- mxer147

Big improvement, great choices. I did something similar but went with 20s, Goodyear Wranglers. I also need to make shock decision, still unsure; I like to buy sale items so I will pull the trigger when the right deal reveals itself. -

Squirted some epoxy primer since it was dead calm and 70F. Might try to add two coats of high build primer in the next two days if the winds are favorable. I’ll probably use my siphon gun since the hvlp gun sucks to shoot from underneath. I’ll need to be sure I have some reducer, the epoxy... -

recommend some tough seat covers
I plan to go with leather, durable and classy look. Will add a seat cover for hunting with the mutt. -

Broken hearted kid and fuel system
With all the fuel dumped down the carb, the oil is definitely broken down and you’re washing the cylinders. I would change the oil and filter soon. Also, spending too much time and money and not progressing much isn’t healthy especially working around gasoline. I’d keep it simple, take the easy...- mxer147

@Ricko1966 Mixed results for the Bauer tool. The nylon roller removes layers of paint fairly well on full speed but not as well as I expected. I had 6 different colors so probably 12-16 coats to get down to metal which was still a lot of work and time, more than I care to spend. I then tried the... -

Agree, I plan on using a UV resistant single stage paint and primer. Even then, it will fade over time if it’s not covered up or washed and waxed often. Ideally, I would love to have an expensive paint job with the best materials and I would go that direction if I had more inside storage space...- mxer147
