Locking Hub Body Won't Seal To Hub
I honestly don't see what effect the vent could have here. The front axle tubes are dry and the axle shafts can be moved inward and outward with relative ease. The rotor/hub assembly should not be affected by anything going on in the differential housing.- Redfish

Mine is doing the same thing although not as bad as yours. The bolts, as you already discovered will only pull in until there is metal to metal contact. I assume that there is wear/slack in the snap ring and snap ring groove and that the O-Ring should be replaced. Warn sells a rebuild kit...- Redfish

Trailer hitch recommendations
The PO of my '87 installed an Acme hitch. This little hitch simply bolts to the underside of the bumper with 4 bolts. Obviously the weight rating of the bumper is the limiting factor here. It allows me to use any length drop or rise ball mount I need and it sets the trailer back far enough... -

O2 Sensor? How does that look? A rebuild kit for the throttle body is relatively cheap and is easy to do. The ignition module inside the distributor can affect things also. Locking Hubs ID
My '87 came stock with the Warn hubs. I sort of want the shiny silver sticker but I am almost positive they didn't have that from the factory.- Redfish

The left hub is a Warn. They came as standard equipment on some trucks in the late '80s. If you buy a new set there will be a silver sticker with WARN over the black plastic.- Redfish

Brake bleeder system
MityVac. Works great. I made the mistake of buying a cheap Harbor Freight pneumatic and it eventually malfunctioned. Something went VERY wrong and it forced compressed air back into the brake system. -

As others have said, the factory mirror is Stainless Steel. It is NOT chrome. I don't have any experience with the chrome version, I would trust @bucket on that score.
