Regular right hand threads. I know for a fact because I have replaced the switch, the sending unit, and the knock sensor on my '87. The switch, located under the distributor is on a rather delicate brass piping assembly that can easily be broken off leaving the threaded part inside the motor...- Redfish

Sorry, wrong answers all around. Except for the knock sensor. It is indeed on the block on the passenger's side. The sending unit near the oil filter is for the oil pressure gauge. It will have a single wire attached. The switch under the distributor is a backup to the fuel pump relay...- Redfish

I did not. I can tell you that I went from a very noticeable squat to a very slight rake. I put a level on it both on the bed rails and on the pinch welds under the cab and it is slightly nose down. The shocks are okay. They made it better and more controllable than the old and worn out...- Redfish

First, the blocks were already installed on the factory rear springs when I bought The Truck. There was a 3rd leaf added to the front and there was nothing about that set up that I liked. Cleaned it, tightened a couple of belts, adjusted the sleeve for my steering (again) and started loading it for our trip to Cruisin the Coast. Supposed to pull out today after lunch. It's already got a Carolina Squat thing going and it's only half of what Mrs. Redfish has to put in the back... -

Your 1987 does have a way to read the codes in the ECM. A decent shop should be able to do this, you can do it at home if you need to. Hopefully someone will come along that can tell you the procedure but it involves jumping across two pins on the diagnostic port. That is located in the same...- Redfish

In the ongoing drama of The Leaking Radiator... apparently it was NOT the radiator itself. The heater hose that attaches just below the filler neck was leaking. Because it is a brand new shiny, slick, plastic radiator there was no trace of the anti-freeze anywhere on the radiator itself, just... -
