    They will plate anything I take them (that isn't chemically prohibitive). Its so thin it isn't like powder coating and baking/painting everything in place. Last couple times I did something similar, it worked and looked excellent.

    I also suspected something for emissions? This was a left coast truck and had plenty on it. I took 1500+ pics of this truck pre-demolition for just such an emergency and cant find it in any - but the emission junk was pulled long before that.

    I drilled 2 random holes on each hinge - reamed to 1/8". Using one inch long 1/8" dowels indicates the hinge exactly to where it was.....and press fits into place flush. Disappears when painted. Here was a test to see how they fit.
