    Aftermarket drums dont seem to come with the knock out plugs, so it could be that is the reason for your above examples. The drilled hole and bolts strikes me as a stroke of genius - well played! :waytogo:

    Not hard, but you have to be sure to disconnect the clamp under the hood on the lower column- 2 15mm nuts probably covered in black anti rust goop from the factory, the transmission linkage under the hood, which is a cotter pin, the steering coupler which is also 15mm and can be tapped down...

    If they both either have the wiper switch on the dash or on the column should be plug and play. If not, then not sure about wiring to go to & from.

    Dropped Goldie off at the transmission shop- TCC quit working. That's where the Rural King battery died about 2 weeks ago, too, but we were able to confirm that it is probably the solenoid in the pan while the old battery died ... Hoping he can do a few other things, too, as the oil burning...

    OE drums - at least the 11.15 ones like on Goldie - have a knock out plug that you have to fill once it is out. I have never seen a metal one - only rubber. Interesting!

    If by standard switch you mean non tilt, you would have to flip the plugs in 180 to install them - you would know. Since you mentioned pivot pins - have you tried adjusting the ignition switch while it is assembled? Did the old tack and sector match the new ? Any possibility the rod is bent ...

    Those came with the stereo radio option IIRC and 1980 only. Also meant no map pockets although they could have been mounted lower on the door.

    No pics, but Engineered one of the hangers for the rear ac cover as the spot weld on the hanger broke. :( Maybe it will hold, but at least I tried something.

    Can you rotate the rod all the way up from the engine side ? That rod attaches to the shift bowl, which on the older trucks is pot metal. Cant say I have seen it, but if the bowl wore out or broke I guess it could cause that. Is the ignition switch adjusted correctly? Does the accessory...
