    Eraser wheels work well just have variable speed on the tool. With high rpms it tends to get away from ya. I use a 110v plug after a light dimmer for speed control on a 10000 rpm grinder. Maybe go dremel.

    Removing large snap ring manual hubs, I lost my touch

    I modified 2 small screwdrivers. one to stop the ring from sliding around the groove and the other to pry out. Harbor freight tools are good for something.

    Magnesium chloride, whatever that is. Supposedly more ecologically friendly, Oregon go figure. Pits the heck out of paint . They use it here but it usually just leaves the roads wet at night and then black ice develops. Fun. Studded snow tires work best here. Yeah that doesn't happen here...

    I'd take out the seat and whatever flooring it has and get a good assessment of how far the rust has gotten. I don't think that cab is not worth saving.
