1990 454 SS Pickup
I had a '90 1/2 ton back in college. I LOVED the seats in it. 90-94 were some of the best seats ever in my opinion, but I also kind of liked the interiors in general in those years pickups.- mcarlo86

New and picked another one up.
Can you get the serial number off the engine block? That X must be a typo. I had a 307 in my 68 C10. My Dad took that engine after I swapped a 327 in and he rebuilt it and put it in his 77 C10 short box. With better heads, cam, and 4 barrel, it runs damn near as strong as my 327.- mcarlo86

2 inch lift on 2wd 3/4 ton
If the springs are original, they probably have settled some in 40 years. I put new springs in my 68 C10 a few years back and it brought it up 2". Just replacing them might give you the lift you want.- mcarlo86

I'm with you. I like seeing these pickups at their stock height for 2wd's and a little lift on the 4x4's. I think someone else mentioned 31" tires earlier. I agree with that. Keep the cool rally wheels with 31" tires to fill the wheel wells up a bit more. Looks tougher IMHO compared to... -
What have you done to your square lately??
Got a new front driveshaft for our 90 V1500 and the new driveshaft came with a larger front u-joint than the old one. The end caps are 1 1/8" in diameter and the old one had 1 1/16" diameter end caps. The guy at the Auto Value Parts store said this was the only driveshaft listed for a 90... -

Still wondering if anyone would know if the clutch pedals out of a 77 would work in my 90 burb on a 4500 swap using a mechanical clutch bellhousing from AA? Also wondering about cruise control since the 77 doesn’t have cruise? I thought I heard somewhere that there is a switch on the clutch...- mcarlo86

We are considering a NV4500 swap into our 90 V1500. I have a line on a good 4500 out of a 94 4X4 Chevy pickup. I also have a parts pickup '77 K20 with a 465 transmission in it. I'm wondering if the clutch pedals would work out of that pickup for the swap? I have seen that AA sells a NV4500...- mcarlo86

Once I read that it could be a vacuum leak, it came to mind that the air only blows out the dash vents and wouldn’t switch to the floor or defrost. EGR Valve and dual exhaust
The service engine soon light on our 1990 Suburban has been coming on lately so I checked the code and it comes up code 32. I believe that is related to the EGR valve.
