love the wheels on your truck Yea my 83 has a ton of stuff from the fire department and from me looks like a mess but serves it function I did a "clean up" with zip ties just so it's not hanging down but the 75 is clean underneath no extra stuff so I have room to make my own spaghetti mess lol -

From the looks yes you move the lever it contacts the switch and I guess your gain control is that variable resistor Yeah the resistor is too cool I'll be leaving it under the hood for people to be like wtf is that lol I'll save the controller just in case it looks nice inside like it would... -

Couldn't tell you exactly how this one works but I can show you how it's hooked up directly to the master cylinder and has this wild looking resistor under the hood and when you step on the pedal that lever moves I'll be swapping it to a modern style to work with my trailers e brakes I don't... -

Started the install on a Manual choke cable, just got to hook up the carb side used a hole that was already in the dash also deleted the old school trailer brake controler -

Yeah they fit the truck and look period correct one of my favorite rims scored on them for 80$ , got the rest of the brake parts today and put the rest of the wheels on think I'll be going with white for the rims really makes them pop I used that opportunity to oil all the hardware I'll be... -

Got calipers and pads for the 75 popped one of the 16" wheels on they are 265/75r16 and fit great rest of the brake parts should be here tomorrow I'm going to paint the wheels either white or black or silver one of the rims is all ready white otherwise I'd leave the crusty chrome kinda matches... -

All engines burn a bit my 83 burns (and leaks valve cover gaskets started to go) about 1/2 quart every few tanks and my basically brand new drz(dirtbike owned since new) burned a 1/2 quart every 1k miles since new only has 5k on it now and I change oil every 1k no smoke just how ice engines are... -

Ordered some repop tail lights and a manual choke kit for the 75 since it won't stay open, then stuck a camera down the aux tank and it looks clean I couldn't get the camera down the filler neck to check the main tank so I'll have to figure another way to check it, it's got a manual tank... -

Started to clean up the 75 GMC and seats are near perfect, found a few tools and owners manual also found these clip in tie downs pretty cool, neighbor said I could use his dumpster to clean out the bed(might find some goodies under the palms I'm hoping the air cleaner is in there), the carpet... -

Fershure man the new rad will probably help out heres the cheap equis gauge on mine reads 230 normally but will go up to 245° when I'm doing a long up hill (there's a 50mile uphill grade where I live have to go up when I go visit my mom in the boonies) hopefully you get it where you like but...- Ajax19

ok, few questions, is it boiling over? did you happen to move the temp sensor to the head?as in was it in the intake before and now it's in the head, reason I say that on my truck I put one in the head and reads about 230-240 if it's not boiling over it's ok because that's one of the hottest...- Ajax19

Where is the sensor? if it's in the head it will read high unless it's pissing out the cap your probably fine- Ajax19

Heck yea man I think I'll be painting it original Silver and white and drive it for a bit already had offer to double my money but I think it will be the next daily while I do some more work to the 83 it's gonna clean up nicely -

O boy missed my truckaholic meeting and got this lead on a 75 GMC 3+3 454 4 speed runs like a champ but there is absolutely zero brakes so that made for a interesting ride home lol paid $750 what y'all think truck is fairly clean other than the paint dash hood and some rust on the roof but clean... -
