Its got a line tapping into the rear brakes actually now I think about it I don't think it applies rear brake just hooked into the rear line -

That's a really old style trailer brake controler it's tied into the rear brakes of the truck when you move that lever it applies only the rear truck brakes and sends a signal to the trailer to brake also when you hit the pedal the lever moves pretty cool old tech -

Haha no lamp cord far as I know just lots of wires that would normally been tucked under the old rubber mat is cut out so basically this thing had radios sirens controls for lights and a rear mounted engine and water pump then I added some more for the amp and radio more lights etc. there's... -

Started welding up the braces ended up using flux core since it's to dam windy not my prettiest but I did a few passes at least I don't have to look at them under the deck got dark on me and was having a hard time seeing even with a light maybe I'll grind em down and do a gas pass on them... -

For some reason I thought they mostly used 14bolt in the civilian trucks and usually d70 in the cucv variety Id still count the cover to be shure I wouldn't necessarily trust the book because my 75 srw has a 14bolt and so does my 83 drw cab and chassis truck that has 11k gvw not Shure about the... -

Should be a 14bolt FF(full floater) 2 quick ways to check count the bolts on the diff cover and if axles are bolted on it's a FF -

Replaced the low pressure power steering hose on the 75 then drove it around a bit looks like the high pressure hose is leaking just replaced the old oil soaked low side because I had 3/8" hose already busted the generator out and got it running hadn't run it for 6 months also dragged out the... -

Other side bracket getting the holes drilled out made some funny looking notches in some leftover 2x3 tube to see if my idea works to brace the section of 2x3 that the gooseneck bolts up to tie into the main 2x3 that runs along the frame I think it's necessary to keep it from wanting to twist... -

It's not much but I did get one side drilled out have to get a few longer bolts and some washers it's not perfect but neither is this truck lol I'm going to have some free time tomorrow I'll get some decent progress then -

Also got more 5/8" hardware to upgrade the 1/2" on the truck, old vs New brackets, another hitch receiver I'm going to add below the existing one is too high but it is good for my hitch mounted accessories (crane and eventually a vise) -

Some progress Remade the front brackets going to use some 1/4" scrap to make some gussets still need to drill some holes but my old drill bit the dust so I'm waiting on one to show up got a few more gussets to make for the rear 2x3 flatbed frame rail and some to the rear bumper to frame
