    Its been a while. Man, I hate when people use expandafoam for bodywork. That poor suburban. My suburban is not much better though. With all this coronavirus bullshit, I have to use whatever I have (Downspouts make good rockers).

    Yes I am, well actually some fiberglass resin I had laying around, that should work pretty well. The rockers are going to be bedlined anyways, so I don't really care what they look like, as long as the rest of the body looks good.

    No actually, god help me, but I'm going to buy some actual Automotive enamel this time. The body on this 'burb is really not too bad, so I'm going the extra mile to make it nice. Though, I am still doing some "creative bodywork." (Downspouts make good rocker panels).

    I started cutting and buffing out some of this shitty paint. Starting to look shiny (especially the hood). Here's an area of shrinkage that came out looking kinds cool. Also here's the '88 as well. Pretty nice for a $300 truck.

    I'm ready for armageddon, I installed a new radio antenna and did a tune up (Lashed valves, cleaned/gapped points, cleaned/gapped plugs, and cleaned up the carb). I even waxed it.

    Did you pull the distributer ever? If you did, you might have put it in 180 degrees out of phase. Its a rookie mistake that i've made before.

    Yea, you literially need nothing extra to get it to bolt it up. If you are using an engine from '86 or later, though, you will need a different flywheel since they use a different crank flange.

    Maybe you should rebuild the 454 and stroke it to a 489 or maybe get a 502. That would probably be the cheapest option if you want a bigger motor than the 454.
