USA1 Vinyl Dye - Actually Dye or Paint?

I used interior paint from USA1 along with these products, very happy with results on interior trim pieces. Clean pieces to be painted with Windex or soapy water and let dry. Use PREP-ALL as directed and let dry. Spray light coat of ADHESION PROMOTER and let dry for approx 10 minutes, then apply...

    Fuel Gauge

If the gauge needle is swinging all over the place when fuel level is below full, it will most likely be the resistor on the back of the gauge, I had the same problem. New gauge from LMC solved the issue, I do not know if the resistor can be sourced by itself.

After nearly two years I finally finished interior! I think rebuilding vent windows and repairing or replacing everything inside the doors was a major test of patience for this old man!!!!!

    84 K10 full exhaust replacement

On my 86 K1500 I used the Hooker cast iron manifolds and Dynomax turbo mufflers, exhaust is all 2.5", no H or X pipe. No leaks, clears everything and all stock A/C and P/S bracketry bolts up with no issues. I did have to get 12 point exhaust manifold bolts, could not get a socket over standard 6...

    New speakers in stock locations?

I used speaker brackets from a company called 73-87.com. excellent quality stuff, fit perfect. Also installed sound deadening mat in cab corners and on the back of the speaker bracket. If you go this route be mindful that the speaker magnet will be very close to the cab, so a large magnet might...

I have the hooker manifolds on my 86 K1500, all the bracketry for A/C works perfectly. I did find the need to use 12 point bolts for socket clearance.

    LMC Dash Pad Supplier

I bought a dash pad from USA1, fit was a pain, the metal for the upper corner dash bezel screw clips is just two small pieces somewhat bonded in the corners, had to make my own and bond them in the proper place, pad had to be trimmed everywhere to work. Never never will I use USA1 again!!!!!!!!!!!!

    2 post shop lift

I have a two post 10,000# Challenger lift in my shop, I have no regrets. Benefit of a two post is the ability to do wheel end maintenance easily. I have had my Son's 2500HD 4x4 diesel crewcab on the lift, but never at fully raised position, and used underlift stands for safety. An overlooked...

    Need a bit more oomph...

I am using a CompCam 12-230-2 / XE250H-10 in my low compression GM crate engine. Smooth idle, good manifold vacuum and low end torque. Edelbrock 600CFM carb on Performer EPS intake and Hooker 2.5 cast iron exhaust manifolds. The super mild 350 moves my 86 K1500 around with ease. Just offering a...

    Fuel guage bounces?

My 86 K1500 fuel gauge needle would swing all over the place if the tank was less than full. Replacing the gauge solved the problem. Gauges from LMC seem to be of good quality, course all are made overseas.

That bracket is for the transmission kick down switch if your truck had a Turbo 400.

New head unit turns on and then right back off.

I just finished mounting a small amp to the back of the cab in my 86 K1500 using 3M double sided tape, amp is bolted to two pieces of 1/8 x 2 aluminum flat bar, tape is on flat bar. Seems to be very secure.

    86 K1500

Was not looking for a 4x4 truck, this one sorta found me. One owner, unmolested and never wrecked. I had to have it. to make things even better the 305 no longer resides under the hood, a 350 now lives there. New shoes!
