Anyone seen these big tanks on a C30?
I remember back in the day, JC Whitney had aftermarket tanks that went as big as dual 40s. No idea how they fit them in where the original 20s were.- Doppleganger

What tire size you running and pic for bonus.
Pirelli Scorpion 285/75R16 (daaaang close to a 33). New springs - lifted it 2" but wasn't a 'lift' kit per se.- Doppleganger

AC duct behind glove box
I think I have #18 - can measure what it is. IIRC its a standard size - like 2" or so. I would bet Vintage Air knows - and probably carries something usable. Plan B is checking with the other vendors. On the upside, LMC doesn't stay back ordered long.- Doppleganger

Leaking transmission pan plug
Always used a copper crush washer. IIRC they come in 10-12pcs / pk from the dealer.- Doppleganger

Now we move into desperation territory (seeking advice)...
Did GM use relays more on the later year trucks? Could be an ECU - also a sticking or failing relay. I've had simple grounds (with stripped bolts) wreak havoc with runability issues. With electronic gremlins it can be a case of what is it or what isn't it.- Doppleganger

What causes cylinder wear like this?
It was a spray can - the label looks like its changed a bit. My friend ordered it from someplace in Cinci. He's been gone about 6 yrs now, so lots has probably changed.- Doppleganger

A long time tech friend of mine used to spray Hylomar on every HG he did. Something that Rolls Royce supposedly came up with. I used copper spray but he swore by the Hylomar.- Doppleganger

What have you done to your square lately??
This is $34 worth of bolts. Place was pretty proud of them I guess. 1 is a 5/16 and the other 2 are 8mm. Hard (and pricey) part is finding them this long, with a button head and in grade 8. Here's an interesting update - so my buddy comes over and we check out the valve lash. A mile off (which I see from most every shop that sets them so no surprise) but after setting it right, no change. We make the decision to get it over with and pull the motor again.
