    I'd double check that rear axle, the silhouette looks a lot like a 14 bolt (imo, the shape plus it hangs too low to be a D60). A rear D60 might be cool but it's definitely a downgrade from a considerably bigger 14 bolt full floater.

    Was the vent connected to anything? Was the vent just laying behind the metal dash structure? You bezel is the typical non a/c type that not cut out in the vent area? That’s a really cool find, especially if somehow left there from during assembly.

    A 465 /208 combo will have a long 32 spline tailshaft in the trans and it would have a tall style adapter with a round bolt pattern on the tcase side. I do not know of any way to use the 74 trans without a tailshaft swap and sourcing the correct adapter.

    I'm not sure what year that bellhousing started but it was used at least from '73 to '84, they aren't a problem part so good used replacements should be easy to find. The only aftermarket replacements I know of are race certified units which are expensive.

    You're limitation will be the 14 bolt FF, you can get a 3.73 or lower pretty easy. There is a 3.21 out there but there's no matching front axle ratio. There are some higher ratios available for the 14 bolt semi floater but it's smaller, lighter duty axle.

    @elbpony thanks! Bigger pipe will help the sound too. I’ve always thought the smaller 2.25” or 2.5” can have more of a pop in the tone where bigger 3” makes it sound a little deeper.

    What have you done to your square lately??

    No pics from today but I pulled the Y pipe and (poorly) welded an O2 bung (w/ plug) in it then drove it to a little car show. Tomorrow I’ll wire up the AFR gauge and install the sensor. It’ll be interesting to see the readings and get a feel for how my qjet is tuned.
