Jeep JK Conversion - Farm beater / Grocery getter

They were 3.8 from 08-11, 3.8 from 12 on. Never a 5 speed, was a 6 speed. Again, wouldn't pay Jeep tax for a running one. Not when you want to build it out. Get a frame and a tub, nothing else about them is worth having for a real wheeler.

What have you done to your square lately??

I'm just going to swap the other hinges over, I've already done the hard work of heaving the hood up there. I need to get the inner fenders off and into the scrap heap anyway, I have pretty much everything I need off the original cab now.

What have you done to your square lately??

These hood hinges have been soaking in Blaster for days and are still seized up, guess I'll have to swap my other hinges on and put these springs on them. Was trying to avoid messing with the springs if possible.

What have you done to your square lately??

Might had to sacrifice a pair of pliers to the grinder to get a good grip in there.

What have you done to your square lately??

I use it for sound, deadens a panel. But the microspheres have air in them, so it's also insulation.

    Cam shaft

The cam you have is a nice choice for a basic 350 in a truck. There's always something better. Often times its a can of worms leading to hundreds or thousands of additional costs. No one will spend your money faster than strangers on the internet.

What have you done to your square lately??

My new 454 has no mech fuel pump provision, so I've been on the fence about how to deal with it. 87 sender is cleaner, but they're up to 50 plus shipping on Rock auto, and lord knows what at the local store. Fortunately scored a open box unit on Ebay for 20 bucks, so now I can get it...

Jeep JK Conversion - Farm beater / Grocery getter

JK Part outs are very common nowadays, can get a frame and tub for under 2k. Super Duty axles require a truss welded on, then bolt in. The only one I did, I just ignored the dash, threw it away, cut a piece of steel, bent it, threw universal gauges in it.

I make Lizardskin by adding microspheres to Latex paint, then spraying it.

I've said for a few years now, every car guy working on their own ****, should have a printer at this point.

    Wood-fired Square

It's simpler than people think, to start, and harder than people think, to make work in a vehicle. Heating any carbon source in the absence of oxygen causes the hydrogen molecules to peel off, you can see this happening in a campfire, if you know what to look for. A log will have smoke rolling...

    Wood-fired Square

I've made a variety of gasifiers over the years, even had a Wheelhorse lawn tractor running around on one. Fun projects, but very finicky and difficult to dial in. If I won the lottery I don't play, using my professional skills with automation and robotics, I think you could really make a...

What have you done to your square lately??

From the illustration, they're twice as tall (eyecrometer) and bellowed, which would give some credence to maybe they're supposed to compress a bit. We'll see when the new ones show up. I don't think LMC has even shipped them yet.
