    Finally got a running 65 C10

Yeah gonna get that corvette pcv and get the breather changed to a tube to the carb Bought a long list of crap I’ve been wanting to fix. Also ordered new windshield wiper arms and blades, and a NOS Chevy steering wheel cap. This should make a lot of stuff functional again. I was thinking...

    Finally got a running 65 C10

I put the truck on Jack stands, cranked it, and got under it. It’s just not leaking at idle. The more I look at it, the more I think it’s coming from the intake manifold Valley silicone bead in the front. That area gets super dirty, super quick and the clutch fan blows it all over everything...

    Finally got a running 65 C10

You know, when I’m just driving this thing 12 miles to the gym at 65 miles an hour, I feel like it doesn’t leak this much oil. I really think those 70 and 75 mile an hour Speeds are pushing this thing. I’m going to dry it all off and drive it 65 for a week and see what happens. The RPMs are just...

Yeah I suspected one of those holes weeks ago back so I plugged them but nothing changed. Need to take the lower bolt out

    Finally got a running 65 C10

Somebody told me stuff some steel wool in the baffle of the valve cover and that will stop so much oil coming out. Of course, I’m sure there’s a bigger problem, worn rings or something, but honestly, if we could just contain some of the oil I could look past that. The old gal will happily do 70...

    Finally got a running 65 C10

Put 200 miles on it today, No issues, other than oil leaks again. Best I can tell it doesn’t look like it’s coming from the valve covers, that chrome breather is spewing all kinds of crap out of it now that I moved it to the back by the firewall It’s more evident. Spray over everything and you...

    Finally got a running 65 C10

Spent some time and got my markers/blinkers working. Little rewiring and probing with the light. Drove it in pouring COLD rain on the highway with no wipers or heater, just a rag to keep the fog off the glass. Successful trip bout 40 miles round trip. Man, I have got some plans for this thing...

I put a 4L80E in my 85C 20 about 10 years ago. Used a standalone controller, worked good. Once I figured out the TPS parameters. I can’t remember the brand, I would have to look back through my build thread on that one.

    Finally got a running 65 C10

Also I calculated today, I've spent $3,300 on the truck since I bought it not counting things like fluids, gear oil, coolant, motor oils, etc. Thats all things like cam kit, poppys patina, gaskets and bolts, dampener, valve covers, alt, oh, radiator, hoses, brakes So purchase price of $8,000...

Been working on Zach’s square body, so haven’t done much to mine. Did take care of this clutch rod, though, connects under the dash and goes through the floorboard. It was like this on both ends, 60 years of wear and tear. Beating around all loose, Louder than two skeletons f%#*ing

60 pounds cold, 40 at all speeds when warm. 20/50 VR1.

Crazy to me how this is the oil pressure at idle and the engine seems to not care. 40 pounds of pressure at 70 miles an hour or really any miles per hour other than idle. Also, I think the truck looks way better without the beauty rings on the wheels.

Idk…. Today I tightened two of the locking header bolts on the passenger side that I thought might be the problem, but it didn’t fix anything.

    Finally got a running 65 C10

Oh, today I took my pipes and mufflers off and spot welded up a few pinholes where I could feel exhaust escaping before the mufflers. I was hoping to fix what I think is a very loud exhaust leak under the truck.I just can’t figure out where it could be…the headers are new, the gaskets at...

    Finally got a running 65 C10

Well…..I knew this was coming after I fixed the brakes heard them chirp yesterday, and sure enough, slid right through an intersection today trying to get off the highway. Ever feel like you’re being pushed off the road by someone riding your ass? 18 wheeler behind me in a 45 mph zone, I turned...

    Finally got a running 65 C10

Got to drive it today, bout 40 miles highway and city. 70mph, No oil leaks, no brake leaks. Speaking of brakes, they’ll chirp the tires now. I honestly think the only way I will convert to discs as if I just have the extra cash. For now I feel like doing a dual master cylinder and calling it...
