Man, I really regret the thumpr cam. I have a few short videos of the truck running when I got it and it was so smooth and quiet. I have not been able to get this truck with its cam to idle below 1000 RPM at idle, I’ve played with timing, I’ve dropped idle down to 750 or 800 and it never likes...- 1low4x4

Got door switches and under dash lights installed. Works great, got the dome on them too. I wouldn't buy the LMC kit though, the door switches are kind of cheap and they flatten the threads out when you screw them in. They are supposed to cut their own threads, and they do but it ruins the...- 1low4x4

The emotional rollercoaster this truck is taking me on is diabolical. Drove the truck 20 minutes away, got it up to 65 for probably 10 minutes of that 40 min trip, came home and leaking all sorts of oil. Fixed, with new seal. I used Lucas assembly lubricant on the seal and balancer when installing it. Just got the glass back in it, going to drive it and see where the next oil leak comes from- 1low4x4

The seal is damaged. I really don’t know how it happened, I have a picture of it installed before I put the balancer on, and it was intact. I do remember rubbing some motor oil on the balancer before I put it on. This seal has zero markings on it, I’m not sure if it is a cheapie or what. I have...- 1low4x4

Update: Truck still leaking oil. But, not from the oil pan, not from the intake manifold valley, not from the top of the timing cover. Its coming from the timing cover seal, and lots of it. Its falling down, being blown back by the fan, and its literally slinging oil in all directions at the...- 1low4x4

I have that 7 quart oil pan with all my fresh oil in it and I needed both hands to pour it back in so I duct taped the funnel up and it worked great lol.- 1low4x4

Well I figured maybe I over torqued them or something so I took them off, cleaned the surfaces and the gasket, bought new Grade 8 1/4 x 1" bolts, and some special locks and washers that fit snug that were from a machine screw box at the hardware store. Well i did some research and it turns out my "new" oil pan does in fact require the "thick" FEL PRO gasket, so I found one local and the oil is draining now. While I was under there, I noticed fresh oil on both sides headers. Shined the light on the back of the valve covers, ran my finger...- 1low4x4
