    Now that I look at the 54 piece picture I posted it says it has a 7/16 tap but I swear none of them came close to fitting. But that kit was shot anyway, everything was bent. Got it from advance. Headed to Oreillys now to get theirs

    This crank has 7/16-20 thnreads I just checked and ran a tap through it to clean it out with some WD40 so now I just ghave to find a installer tool with that tap

    Got the freeze plug installed. Stopped at horrible freight and bought a $40 pulley remover/installer. It doesn’t work on my crank either. I’m not really sure what to do now other than beat it on with a hammer which I would like to avoid

    Disclaimer: It's been a decade since I timed an engine. I remember how to unplug (and plug the line) the vacuum advance for initial timing, but, my front cover on my sbc doesnt have the timing tab. How do I time it, am i overthinking it? Can I just make a mark and run with it?

    Got the seals in, stopped and bought a valve spring compression tool (I think I’ll take it back and make one out of an old wrench) and then I discovered a bent pushrod. So I’ll need to buy a set of those Also, realized I put the intake on too soon, need to take it off so I’m sure all the PRs...

For the life of me I cant figure out why the shafts wont go back together, If i have the needle bearings in them like they came out, it stops a quarter inch short.     went to walgreens for a battery for my digital caliper so I could measure the od of the valve stems to buy the correct seals, both of my digital calipers were acting up so threw them away, run to autozone, convince the kid working there that there is such a digital device that I'm describing...

    I guess the innards of my trans dont look that bad...just a few small chips on some gears. When I pulled the tailshaft off to change the gasket, needle bearings came out and I lost 2. (There are 24 i believe). So I'll have to order a rebuild kit. I took the front shaft out to access the needle...

    My 3 speed is the 4 bolt side cover I'm assuming muncie. Will a 3 speed saginaw fit in its place (the one with more bolts on the side cover)without having to mess with mounts/driveshaft etc? I opening mine up and its a little gnarly
