    My 56 210 4 door hardtop had it's original 265 WITH an oil filter in the canister in the "proper" location. i don't know when they did that......56 model year, maybe . 55s had a remote in the front and top of the engine???????.....guessing here :rolleyes:

    Built a 301(racers terminology then) in 1965 with a .125 over 283 block, steel crank, and Gratiot Auto Supply 301 cast pistons, and an old 30-30 Duntov cam. Ran fair.......no gears and a 3 speed.... but sounded AWESOM. That's all I needed in a 56 2door 210 wagon.........scared a lot of people ;)...

    I did that to a Powermaster? starter on Kooper's s10. Wasn't close enough to the flywheel, so we took the mounting block off and machined somewhere around .125 to .200 off that aluminum block and it worked perfectly. And you are right, too much and then just shim it..

    Caster adjustment question?

    Do NOT put a shim in the front....that will add MORE Camber....you DON'T want that. if you want to try something, remove a shim from the rear bolt. That will increase the caster and won't affect the camber much at all. Recheck the toe after you do this. I would prefer 0 degrees camber, but just...

    Those specs are almost the same as the old 350 horse hydraulic 327 cam.......L79 option......good cam!!
