    Don't write your engine off yet. Water is one of the byproducts from combustion, and if you exhaust never gets hot while just idling it will condense the water out and drip. stock engine shop time to RNR i would guess closer to 8 hrs. My best guess not book time.

    295/50-15 rears 10x15 wheels , 245/60-15 fronts 8x15 wheels. Personally i like old school 15's, but it's you truck pick what you like... I doubt 15's will ever be phased out there just not as common any more.

    When i was looking for a c10 one of the must haves was a non cat truck. The heavy 10's from 75-78 and non kalifornia 79's didn't have cats.

    Since you know you have a bad EGR no point in pursuing the bog till thats fixed. however secondary fuel well tubes seam to be another possibility.

    if the secondary air valves are cracking open revving the engine in park that doesn't sound right . You are unlikely to have sufficient load or air velocity to open them in park especially with a 305.

    If you can't duplicate the noise in the driveway by varying engine speed that pretty much eliminates the engine and accessories. Only in motion would most likely be axle related possibly U joints .
