    Engine/Trans help

Driver side was very tight especially with the 700R4 linkage which needed some bending to get it to clear. The top of the header also hitting the floor board on the driver side a little on acceleration and vibrated the whole cab so that took a micro adjustment with a 5lb sledge maul too.

    Engine/Trans help

I couldn’t find any thing on the market that would fit up to the Sanderson headers so I put it all together myself in the shop with the mig welder. I went off the collector that Sanderson provides with a 2” flex pipe. https://a.co/d/bBrOEiY Then a mandrel bent 45 KOTVTM 2.25" Stainless...

    Engine/Trans help

They look identical to a cast iron one, but my motor came with a little red tag on it that said if you bolt anything to the front it will damage the pump and probably void the warranty. Check with BP or just put a magnet on it and see what you have. When I called , BP told me I would have to...

    Engine/Trans help

Oh, one more thing for the parts list; with the Blue Print motors, you cannot add a fan spacer or thermostatic clutch, which basically means you cannot use a mechanical fan. Blueprints uses an aluminum water pump that will explode if you add anything to the front. If this was your plan, you can...

    1988 Suburban v10 5.7L Silverado troubleshooting help

You have a ground problem I think. Check the ground strap on the back of the engine head that attaches to the firewall under the hood, then check that the motor is ground with a braided strap to the frame. Since you have multiple systems effected at the same time, I would also look at the...

    Engine/Trans help

391!! I got ripped off !! My transmission guy was just a local guy in NJ who had done some farm trucks for us and they had held up. This 700r4 has the most HP feeding it yet, so we will see how it holds up.

    Engine/Trans help

I went down the same road and decided to go with the sniper 340HP. If it makes you feel any better, when mine showed up the dyno sheet that shipped with the motor showed that it actually turned out 375 hp before it left the factory. I had the 700R4 rebuilt with heavier clutch packs and corvette...

    Fusible links ?

I forget where it connects to, but I can check on my truck tomorrow. Fusible links would be (for example) a 12 gauge wire with a 14 gauge wire place at the end expecting the lighter wire would burn out first before the rest of the harness got damaged. You can usually spot these because they have...

    Fusible links ?

That’s not a fusible link. It is just a sealed connector.

Need some help figuring out how to wire my dual saddle fuel tanks

I think I sent this too you before. Use the dark green and light green wires as triggers for the relay. I think I actually have the left and right reversed in this diagram though. I think light green is left and dark green is right.

1982 c10 interior right turn signal

Start at the bulb. You either do not have power, or you do not have a ground. Try giving it one of each and start working back from there.

High horn not working on a 1981 C10 Silverado

I believe that I ended up bending the brackets that came with them (which are basically just universal mounts). I tried to repurpose the original mounts, but that was hopeless. Yes, I believe I also ran a ground wire too. I’ll try to take a look at the truck later today.

High horn not working on a 1981 C10 Silverado

sounds like the coil in that horn is toast. I bought two LMC horns. I remember that I had to mess with the mount quite a bit because it wasn’t a direct replacement, but I got them to fit.

    1976-87 dual tank harness available!

I tried this setup after I switch to the Sniper 2 and it didn’t work for me. I put the inline low on the frame which was level with the bottom of the tanks and about 6” from the switch valve. It could never pull enough fuel. I think it was because between the tank and the pump it was relying on...

    89 V2500 Dies while driving.

Check the negative bus bar behind the dash. Should be on the Pilar side of the firewall. You might be able to see it from underneath, but I always got to them by removing the dashpad. There is A lot of ground wires attached to that bar and if there was a leak, or rust the bus bar could be...
