    I have always been able to reach the hoses to cut them by sticking my arm in the wheel well to get to the top of the tank. I haven’t had to take a bed off to drop a tank yet.

    I’ve used red for exhaust manifolds in the past and I have had leaks. Great for water pumps and intake manifolds and the rest. I bought a set of Sanderson headers and they recommended RTV black, no gaskets. 10k miles no leaks. Hopefully red is working ok if you use it, I just hate doing that job...

    I’ve done them one at a time before. It’s not a big deal. Granted, these are farm trucks that you wouldnt notice the difference on, but I didn’t notice the difference. The captured nuts always slip and there is no way I was volunteering to cut the floors and replace bushing that weren’t bad!

    Driver’s side sending unit ground

    Snip them in the middle and then take your time getting the rubber off of the fuel line when the tank is removed. Replace them with about 12” of hose when you put the tank back up. This will make reinstall of the tank 100x easier.

    Gage/idle fuse blows when key on

    This is for an 84 and it says you need to trace the pink wire, but I believe the wire coming out of the back of the fuse box is a pink with a black stripe. It goes to the gauges first then feeds the switch valve circuit. The short must be between the fuse block and the gauge cluster.
