I have an 01 gauge cluster, wires figured out where they go, and I have a pattern made to cut the bezel. Just haven't figured out the plastic lens piece. The 01 lens cover sticks out at the bottom, which I just don't like the looks of it that way.
If I center the gauges, it will end up in the...
I'm looking into putting a set of digital gauges in the 73. I already have the stock gauges worked out and ready to install, BUT, my granddaughter wants a set of digital gauges. I've been working on using a 2001 gauge cluster, just not worked out the mounting. SO, if I use the digital gauges...
I'm looking for a good cluster housing (the unit that holds the gauges) with unbroken mounting tabs, and don't need the circuit board, can be from any 73-87 C10. Shipped to 28609.
Can someone tell me the oil pressure gauge pin connections looking at the "BACK" of the gauge. Which is the power and which is the sending wire connection across the resistor?
Yes I know. The speedometer is from an 95 G10 with an 85ish speedometer face plate, so another missed matched gauge will not matter, looking at also changing from a Amp gauge to a Volt gauge, and I know you can't use the same wires from the Amp to Volts, will have to straight wire the Volt meter...
Lowe's told me they would only honor the small hand tools, also told me I'd had to take it to a "Retailer", which I told her that's what Lowe's was, then she handed me the phone number to call.
I have a 73 C10 with the mechanical oil pressure gauge, and I want to switch to an electrical gauge. My wire harness doesn't support the electrical oil gauge, so can I wire the electrical gauge directly to the sending unit?
I'll make sure I connect to the right wire. I'll check my PCM pinouts for the 01 Silverado. A is for the low reference to computer, B is senor signal to computer and C is for the gauge.
I think I have it figured out. Looking at the plug, the bottom pin would go to the gauge, top left would go to the yellow wire in the harness and the top right pin would go to the gray wire in the harness.
I watched a video on this, going to try it. I have a TPS plug I can use. Do you know which pin on the sensor is the gauge wire, and which pin goes to the Yellow and Gray wire in the harness (I'm using a stock wire harness and just cut off the connectors I didn't need and tucked them back into...
I used the diesel radiator brackets on my 85 when I switched to a 350, had to slightly modify them to fit over the CU730 radiator. The only thing I have left of the diesel stuff is the fan shroud, filler panel and the weight that was on the 700r4.
