    wheelin' it

From the steering box it "crosses over" to the passenger side to steer the truck. It allows the steering to still function when the front axle gets articulated. With the stock steering if your driver side tire gets stuffed (goes up) or droops in a hole (goes down) the short stock drag link...

    wheelin' it

Non hydroboost. I do have a somewhat new stock power steering pump and a new 2wd steering box. Truck steers well unless I have a front tire wedged in the rocks. I will get a PSC power steering pump this summer (mainly to run a hydraulic winch). I'll probably go ram assist in a year or two, but...

Snow wheeling. Now I want to re-configure...

I had a few moments of panic going down that trail also. I did that section alone as the Jeep guys went down another narrow route that had non-stop "tank trap" type obstacles. The type that would make me probably get high centered repeatedly. Thought they would pop back out in a few hundred...

    wheelin' it

Small steering wheel. If you are truly doing something where you need to get the front tires to turn you don't rely on arm strength to force the steering wheel around. You end up getting a higher volume/pressure PSC steering pump and/or get hydraulic ram assisted steering or go full hydraulic...

Question, are all full size square body Blazers referred to as K5 ?

Huh. Good question. I think they still have the K5 emblem on them. Don't think they followed the truck "rules". Never heard of a C5 Blazer... Then again never had a reason to buy or really follow 2wd stuff because of where I live. If the front end has been completely stripped of suspension...

Question, are all full size square body Blazers referred to as K5 ?

Yes, full size can be called a K5. There was also the small version, the S-10. Then there is a GMT400 full size Blazer that I think was discontinued in 1994. Then of course there is the all brand new abomination to the Blazer name... :( There was also the GMC Jimmy which could be a full size...

    Bed liner on cab floorboard?

I guess people just throw down bedliner and then leave it as it? I figured people (like what I did) was put a few coats down on the floor then cover it with at least some heat shield/insulation on the transmission hump at least then put in some vinyl flooring. That way your floor is better...

    Bed liner on cab floorboard?

    1976 K20 NP203 HELP! So confused!

Glad it is fixed- My first vehicle was a '78 K5 Blazer that made that same grinding noise when it was in gear on the test drive. The lady selling it freaked out as it was her ex-husbands rig and she got it in the divorce. While she went to call him my dad figured it out but didn't say...

    New "Old" Daily - 8.1L

I use that fuelly program to track all tanks of fuel thru my vehicles. Some statistics on my old 2003 8.1L 2500HD with the ZF6: 104 fillups 12.0 average MPG (this was empty and towing) 16.5 best MPG *this was on the stock tiny 245 tires and before I leveled the truck. 2,138.33 gallons used...

    It’s official, I’m a nerd

So did you have to install some home charger unit in your garage? If so what was the cost on that?

    Off-road bumper ??

Yeah- I had to chain up the front of the truck as the roads getting up there were a sheet of wet ice. The road also had a large drop off on the one side so there was no room for error. Those chains don't fit my current size tire anymore. Too bad- as they were the heaviest chains I could find...

    78 K10 NP203 Shifter linkage

I'd think your best bet would just be to hit up some of the local junk/salvage yards.

    Off-road bumper ??

One of the members in the local off-road club is a semi professional photographer so he loves taking all kinds of pics then posts downsized versions of them with his "stamp" on them. So yes- I'm in the blue truck in both those pics. Normally no one breaks anything. Typically try to take it very...

    Off-road bumper ??

I ordered ORDs low profile bumper. Since I go snow wheeling I wanted a lighter weight bumper on the front. Bumper and the magnum doubler is supposed to be done around June 1. I've been waiting 8 weeks so far. :( (Not my truck) Mine in its natural habitat: High in the mountains above...

    1976 K20 NP203 HELP! So confused!

Maybe someone didn't assemble the axle lockout hubs properly- or they are missing parts in them. In your above post when you were turning the front driveshaft by hand were the front tires on the ground?

    Cracked 6" superlift front leafspring

It is a 1" spacer that is bolted into your spring pack. If you removed that bottom leaf your truck will sit lower, but it should ride slightly nicer. If you put this zero rate in there it will raise it 1" up. You also have the option to relocated the axle front or back.

How Will My Square Body Look With XX Lift and XX Tires?

I was talking about Crowsnest pass in Canada. There is an area there called Frank Slide. The slide buried a lot of the valley- so they just built the highway right thru it again. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Slide I've driven thru there a lot as a kid when my parents were taking...

    Deep desert fun

Some great pics there. Last year when I was driving back and forth to Arizona I was often looking at all the trails that just head out into the desert and wish I had my truck instead of a rental car.

    Warn hydraulic winch?

Putting an update on here. I ordered ORD's front tube winch bumper. The Warn hydraulic winch has an odd bolt pattern. Won't bolt to the ORD bumper without drilling new holes. Currently looking at the Mile Marker winches. Mile Marker says they need 3.5 GPM at 1,500 psi. And they will bolt right...

Snow wheeling. Now I want to re-configure...

Another trail ride yesterday. Went up and over from one valley to the next across the top of Blacktail Mountain. Very deep rutted snow from others. Last year the logging companies clearcut a few areas at the top of the mountain. I found these areas last October. The few seedling trees they...
