What new tools have you got lately?

Wife asked what I wanted for my B'day. Which was the middle of the month. She waited to get it black Friday thing which is ok with me. My old one works but barely lifts my trucks high enough just to get the tire off! And I hate using blocks to get the height I need.

    Mutt gauges?

Here's a picture of my 73 cluster. No tach and the bottom left small hole was were the brake light would have been but not wired for it. On a 73 if it had a large tach the fuel guage would be in that position. I put a check engine lamp in there for my LS swap.

To buy or not to buy, for daily usage.

Someone else already posted you only use 4wd when you need it. And to add to that comment relying on 4wd only gets you in trouble. Like everyone else good tires, being prepared with essential items for driving in the winter. So next time it snows go find a huge empty parking lot a learn and do...

    Subwoofers

Here's my setup! Enough for me. And that's the question you should define how far do you want to go audio file big bucks in a small cab. Or just a clean good enough for me sounding system.

Info needed, Speedo needle removal for touch up

I know from another thread by @Green79Scottsdale the you can remove the needles to repaint them and that they screw off. The question is are they right or left handed thread and how tricky is it. My guages are the first make and are back order everywhere. So I don't want to break them. Any...

Awesome write up @Green79Scottsdale and @twojoe have a question about the needles that screw off left or right hand thread. Also if anyone knows what color paint the needles take to restore them. 1977 Buckskin vs. 1979 Camel Tan

I have a 73 Saddle color which is about the same as camel tan. Both are darker than buckskin. You can see this by looking at USA1 paints they have the different years of paint so you can match your interior plastic pieces. I had to do this because none of the parts and pieces matched at all even...

    Tremec TR-4050 swap

After reading the documents in the link I thought of advanced adapters. I also looked at thier site and they sell the transmission. They also have clutch kits for that transmission. I think if you dig more than I did you can find everything you need.

Is this an aftermarket rear slider?

Here's an update. It wasn't easy had two friends come over to help. Good thing one of them has installed a few using the rope method but like anything if it can mess with you it will. The one piece of advise is to be liberal with glass cleaner or what ever lube you use. They recommend glass...
