Are the door panels cracked or just dirty and scratched? Get new arm rests and restore the the panels. Cleaning and prep work with the right chemicals is the most important part of the process. I never had a new interior part that matched the color, always had to repaint them with vinyl dye...

Adding a speedo with trip odo, need to add the hole for the trip odo shaft

I drill plastic with wood drills. Very low pressure and medium speed. You can use a hot wire to melt the hole. Not red glowing hot but hot enough to melt the plastic.

    Stumped with brakes

I have seen brake fluid sucked in the booster but that bubbling is strange. Is there a seal between master cylinder an booster? If no I don't think that master/booster can be air tight. Are only the rear brakes not working properly? Is the bubbling occuring with vacuum applied to the booster ...

    '81 K30 4X4, 454 Exhaust Manifolds....time for headers ?

Before touching the carb adjust your timing to what the engine needs. When timing is set you can start to make adjustments on the carb. Use an afr gauge to tune your carb. As you are building a new exhaust weld in afr sensor bungs on both sides and get an afr gauge. Search the forum for ignition...

    '81 K30 4X4, 454 Exhaust Manifolds....time for headers ?

You don't know what the owner did do that headers an why he's selling it, could be warped, leaking or have other issues. Be careful when you decide to get used headers. Hookers, Dougs, Sanderson, Patriot are good brands afaik but there are many more. Also depends on the product line.

    '81 K30 4X4, 454 Exhaust Manifolds....time for headers ?

If you want headers you have to pay $$. Cheap headers often leak, are made with flimsy walled pipes, rust quickly and sound like a fart in soda can. Good headers or stick with manifolds, that's my 0.02$

    Question about center support bearing.

You just have to remove the rear driveshaft to measure the diameter of the splined end of the front shaft. Also measure the center line (bearing center to mounting surface) of the bearing assembly, there are 2 different types. Buy a quality bearing assembly. Removal of the Bearing: -Remove the...
