Olds 350 diesel to sbc swap
If you're set on running one tank follow the advice above. However, with a gas engine you may find yourself missing that extra fuel. You can just drain the tank and blow out the lines. As long as the fuel isn't contaminated it's nothing to worry about.- Blue Ox

@TheBigBlue2500 I'd suggest you check your exhaust for a harmonica or the whistle that came with the Turbodiesel badge, because there is no turbocharger on that engine. :(- Blue Ox

When you had the rocker cover off, did you "ahem" probe the spark plug hole to feel for the piston? If you did that, and the mark was facing down, your damper has spun. Otherwise repeat the procedure and get the piston on top. Just having the rockers free only indicates that you are on... -

I @$$umed it was the trick where you split a hose and wrap it around a steel line that has a pinhole leak. Clamp it over the hole and you're good. For a while anyway. I ran my truck like that for several years when the transmission shop left the cooler lines rubbing on the frame. Had to change... -
Need correct core support if my headlights are "dual headlights" with the high under the lowbeams or is dual side by side?

They have a significant tendency to loosen, and they are very hard to clean if they get the creeping green. IMHO they do that more often because they are not at the highest point on the battery. I know the hardware is $#itty to save the battery at the expense of the bolts, but does it have to... -

Cab Light Mount Questions
My cab definitely has factory clearance lights and there is a D shaped depression stamped into the sheet metal with a square nut welded or brazed into it. Cab Light Mount Questions
The factory lights are screwed into nuts that are welded into the sheet metal. The bulb socket is held by the lens gasket. When I retrofitted them to the Suburban I used Nutserts. They're machine screws, not sheet metal screws.- Blue Ox

Dome light upgrade
That, plus they run much cooler than those little tube bulbs. I've nearly lost my fingerprints on those things a few times and they melt the plastic lamp housings.
