Oil pressure sensor questions
one is a SENDER and one is a switch. Just remember BELL (sender) is for your gauge the other is a switch.- Camar068

What have you done to your square lately??
passed week or so: -trimmed transmission dipstick tube, changed seal (leaking) as well as calibrating the stick to the pan seal -replaced MAF sensor with a Delphi unit fixed the lean condition I've had for 2 years (got money back for faulty Duralast at AutoZone) -replaced Spectre Air Filter... -

yeh it was. Got home and the grandkids said "Papa's home! Lets go play!". Was a shorter play time than normal. -

Drove up to OH to pickup a nice set of bucket seats. Figured while I was gonna be his way, I hollered @bucket to trade other stuff. Seats look great. Hopefully it works out. Good to see you again Andy, Thanks for the bumper. -
What new tools have you got lately?
If I get that old I'll use this type and cardboard to protect the truck....and can be used around the house. Sorry...over thinking. I have one, never thought to use it this way. I just slap some thick styrofoam on top of the sh|t and lay on that. Can't get cheaper than that. I do have a 3'... -

Rough Idle, smells rich, P0171 and P0174 codes on 5.3L
Good to know. Mine is full stock, never been tuned road or dyno. Want to do it, but dang at $500-600 I've got other stuff to do to the truck. I know, i'm missing out on a bunch.- Camar068

Rough Idle, smells rich, P0171 and P0174 codes on 5.3L
update to my issue. Turns out the 2 MAF sensors from Autozone (2 yrs ago, duralast) were bad. On a whim, I changed the maf to a Delphi and my codes are gone and my LTFT's are down to ~5% at idle from a constant 25% before. We'll see how much of a warranty is on the AZ maf.....be nice to get...- Camar068

Dipstick tube BS
Thanks for the pic. Was gonna look at it today but didn't have time. I have 2 sticks (both LS), the one I have installed has the "tab" installed, the other I ground off. I have a spare 4l60e I can slap it into. Hopefully get on it tomorrow to investigate more. 3/4" compression fittings on...- Camar068

Dipstick tube BS
Sick of trying to snake in the tube on the LS swap and not get a good seal. Screw it, I'm getting a few more tools to make this sh|t easier. The tube I have tab doesn't line up with a bolt on the trans to hold it firmly in place. Having one that is 2 piece will make life easier on my scared...- Camar068

LS 6.0 Runability Issue
right, but I took someone to a yard that i half trust. He said " if it's not a 5.3 are you going to feel the difference? I mean, they have the same lower end as the other". No they don't. Lesson learned again from this yard, it was a 4.8. So now he's had to get a 5.3 crank and connecting...- Camar068

changed transmission filter and pan today. All was well until I found one of the bolts striped going in...too late to fool with. Be nice if the bolt is messed up, but I doubt it. Looking at options to fix it. Taking them out, one bolt was tighter than the rest all the way out. I should have... -

$600 in TN exchange. Regular seat is $450. -

it's a lot of tedious pita work but very doable. If I can do it with no feeling/dexterity on my index/middle fingers on my right hand, you can do it. I'm pretty sure I put a video within the last week showing step by step. Lube is key.- Camar068

I need to pull the hubs on mine after a shop replaced the u-joints. Don't think they torqued it correctly. -

Steady 5.5psi fuel pressure drops when warmed up
3-4.5 psi is what the eddie's like regardless of what the directions say.....if your's is like a 1406. Verified by a phone call to them....long time ago lol. Quick call to them to discuss. Off the phone in less than 5 minutes.- Camar068
