    I cut all this up, used 3.5 batteries over 2 days. Probably way bigger than what I should have cut, as I had to make every single cut on one side of the trunk, and then continue the cut from the other side. But it never complained, it just kept spitting chips.

    Yea, it’s what came in the combo kit with drill, impact driver and multi tool. I added the sawzall but tried to use the small battery. I probably need at least a 4aH, but those things are expensive. Hate to buy one just to continue to be disappointed.

    As I’ve posted elsewhere, the kobalt 24v 1/2” impact is where I landed and I have been super happy with the performance. I did have to buy a new battery last year, but the dang thing just keeps going. I don’t use it every day, but when I need it it’s always been enough.

    Well it turns out Metabo makes a few different 1/2” impacts. A few 36v and a couple 18v. One in particular they sell at my local Lowe’s, it puts out 430 lb ft of torque vs the kobalt at 650.     Nice!! I’ve always liked the tube bumpers, but you hardly ever see them on anything besides jeeps. I wonder if they just weren’t very popular, or if just most of them got wrecked up or rusted out back in the day. Hard to put a value on them since they’re hard to find.
