    Must be a luck of the draw thing. My 98 was driven pretty hard. But it only had 285’s on it. Still never had any issues. Never had any trouble with hat truck at all actually, other than transmissions. Probably the best truck I’ve ever owned. Still regret selling it.

    I had a similar experience. I replaced my shot Rancho 5000’s with Gabriel’s that were on sale from rock auto. $65 for all four, shipped. Made a noticeable difference in handling. Definitely worth the money. And this is on a 78 k10. Just goes to show that new parts are always better than old...

    I have a basic kobalt tool kit that came from Lowe’s, a set of jumper cables, and that’s pretty much it. I do have a leatherman in the truck, and I keep a chain in the bed just because I’ve been called to come pull a couple people out before. I don’t like carrying a bunch of crap everywhere I go.

    I’ve had the Generals, and the BFG at. Old design. Not sure why but I got 30k out of the General, and 65k out of the BFG. I really wish they had kept the old BFG design, I liked them a lot better. I’ve always like the whole white lettering on them too, vs the outlined letters.
