    Intro - My 1982 Jimmy Diesel 4x4

I do in fact have a couple of the big square lights that I would consider selling.

    BC’s boat/dumpster fire thread

Well I’ve been messing with this boat some more, and I’m getting aggravated. It won’t even pretend to start, even on starting fluid. I don’t think I have spark, but I can’t confirm because of very short plug wires. What normally goes wrong on an outboard to not have spark? Is there an easy way...

    Drip rail gutter clamps

You can probably make some actually. I had an old light bar on my truck in high school, the kind that you would normally put on a blazer. But I couldn’t afford a roll bar. Anyway, it sat down in the rain gutter and only had four L shaped pieces of metal that came down and hooked under the...

    BC’s boat/dumpster fire thread

Well, I finally got around to working on the boat. Put in a new fuel line, plugs and impeller. I wasn’t able to get it to fire off but I didn’t really mess with it a whole lot. I’m thinking about selling it honestly. The new has kind of worn off, and the reality has set in of what it will cost...

I just thought y’all might be interested, the ski boat is an 86 astroglass, and the title for that v6 evinrude says it’s a 200 horse!

What wheels came on my ‘77?

My wheel size was on the tag in the door jamb, 15x8. I knew they were steel wheels and hubcaps, but that sticker confirmed the size.

Thanks, I think I’ll try that and see what happens. Picked up spark plugs and fuel line today, waiting on my impeller kit. Hope to have it running by this time next week, then the cosmetic stuff can happen. Good polish and some new carpet, might mess around and end up with a half decent boat.

    BC’s boat/dumpster fire thread

Well. I made the trip this weekend to get the trailer my cousin gave me. It’ll be used to get the fish and ski boat home for a part out/scrap operation. Needs tires of course. But it’s an extremely nice shore lander trailer, definitely worth the trip to go get it. Decided to let the Jon boat...

    Omg dude - get real!

I mean, 90% of the ac is there, but for that price the ac should be functional.

Trying to drag another one home….

I didn’t actually talk to the guy, I could never get anyone to answer the phone at the shop. My dad is the one who was actually able to talk to someone. I’ll ask him.

Yea my dad has two, a 2001 base model Silverado, single cab short bed 2wd with 290k, and this one is a 2003 1500HD.

    BC’s boat/dumpster fire thread

There should be a hull number in there somewhere. Basically from what I read they just want to know that you didn’t steal the thing and try to register it. I’m going to get it and then see if I can get the title. If not, I’ll go from there. There’s a ton of boats for sale with no title so I...

    BC’s boat/dumpster fire thread

Ok, might be taking a different direction. Dad found a 14 foot John boat in a local junkyard, in great condition. Does anyone have any experience with getting an abandoned boat title? It looks like it fits the description for abandoned here in NC. I already have a trailer and motor.

Trying to drag another one home….

Well, the guy won’t sell. So I guess I just have to be content knowing that it’s still mostly in good shape, and maybe he’ll get it fixed one day.

New impact: air vs battery powered?

If I remember correctly, it was about $200. I need to pick up a spare battery.

Kobalt vs dewalt for a sawzall

That’s the one I’m leaning towards, it’s only $4 more than the standard one.

Kobalt vs dewalt for a sawzall

I appreciate the input everyone, I’ve decided to go with the dewalt. Turns out kobalt is a Lowe’s store brand, they may decide next week to drop it altogether. I know dewalt will be around. I’ll just pick up a couple 4 ah batteries.

Well luckily for me, both my dewalt batteries are 2ah lol. I need to buy some better ones.

Trying to drag another one home….

I guess I should add my plans for it only include replacement bug shield, because I like the looks, put the factory single exhaust back on (that I actually still have) and put some 99-02 Chevy wheels with the stock 265/75/16 tires and call it good. Just a good ole stock tough as nails truck.

Trying to drag another one home….

No worse for the wear all things considered, only thing different is the dash board being all jacked up, and the big shield is gone. I swear he must have been chewing on the dash, the interior was a 9/10 when I traded it.

Trying to drag another one home….

Dad got down that way today, and confirmed that it’s definitely my old truck. Still haven’t heard from the owner, but we know for a fact that it hasn’t moved in 6-8 months so he must not be too worried about it. It’s in for a motor swap according to the shops owner.

Kobalt vs dewalt for a sawzall

Looking at picking up a battery power sawzall, either kobalt or dewalt. I already have a 24 volt kobalt impact, and several dewalt 20 volt max tools so either one would have to be compatible with those batteries. I see some complaints online about the dewalt batteries not lasting. Anyone have...
