    Car Hauler tips/tricks/ideas

While I haven't done it YET, I'm scared to death I'll forget the security chain around the wheel an try to drive off with it still attached. That SHOULD remind me to take the cover off too

Towing a diesel 2500 Burb on a 17’ flatbed trailer

It'll hit the caliper first. The way they neck down inside it won't clear the brakes without the spacer on the rotor. If you pulled the calipers then it would hit the other stuff too....

    1991 Chevy V3500 Cummins

Oh man, I am considering a cummins for my dually to get the mileage up away from 10 with the 454. You guys aren't making it sound worth the effort lol. I know it's not a fair comparison to these lifted big tire 4x4s though considering the completely different style of truck  although the...

New guy needs help with butterflies

I'm not sure what you mean by the tires being "butterfly" but... A competent alignment shop (ie not a national chain center) should be able to inspect an tell you exactly what is worn an needs replacement. You might have to search for one that will check/set more than just the toe. Once you...

    Huck's daily - 2005 Z71 crewcab

Kudos for sticking with it, an sharing the adventure with all the details. I've learned alot through this. Everytime I think I want to try doing my own gears I'll remember this an probably pay someone lol. I'm far from an expert on this stuff but it seems to me that you've tried it everywhere...

    ****CAUTION, PLEASE READ****

It's rampant in the GMT400 (obs) groups on FB. I don't see it as much on the square stuff but it is out there. All I can figure is the typical square owner is older an doesn't fall for it as easily I guess. It boggles me how so many obs guys fall for the obvious scam posts or tags to supposed...

    ****CAUTION, PLEASE READ****

I always tell people the only way I'll pay is PayPal goods an services. I cover the extra 3% for the fee thats charged. If they can't accept it that way then I'm not a buyer. I will eat the fee to cover my @ss just in case.

What have you done to your square lately??

But spectra off rockauto.com an google a 5% code if there isn't one floating around on the forum. Doubt you'll find a better deal. LMC should be last resort for something only they carry. You can usually get anything they have cheaper somewhere else. Just my .02

    Lowered jimmy

This With these I had no trouble getting mine aligned even on bags. Except for wanting the ride height to be tucking wheel which got in the way of sensor mounting lol

Nv3500 into an 86 k10, but not a normal swap.

Mine was an auto so I had to make the hole anyhow. I would imagine it will need moved or enlarged though if you're replacing a factory 4 spd.

    Car Hauler tips/tricks/ideas

I was looking around for ideas to secure the safety chains. Found this: https://www.linklock.net/ I was thinking that would be nice so I could pull the chains an just lock them in the toolbox. I wasn't crazy about the weld on installation but it is a pretty cheap solution. Went to check mine...

    Hi - from Upstate, SC

Yes keep the TPI! I have a full setup to run on my C10 with a holley terminator, if I can ever get time for my own stuff. I have vortec heads, a vortec lower to start with. I also socred another setup with a TPiS lower an a accel super ram for the 383 I want to eventually build too.

Step one of the security updates completed. Hopefully this helps, maybe it's just my imagination but I swear the crappy lock i had on there someone had been trying to remove. It never seemed to be in the same orientation that I left it in. The new hitch has a built in lock so I cut...

Nv3500 into an 86 k10, but not a normal swap.

That's interesting, I didn't think there was a difference in flywheels when the blocks should be the same. I thought it only changed with the switch to 1 piece rms like small blocks. I definitely don't have the experience on big block stuff though. I just figured it would be similar because the...
