    Rear driveshaft for SM 465

I know a guy that can make it for ya. All you have to do is buy one that know to be too long, and then tell him what length you need. He charges $100 to shorten and balance it. You would probably have to ship it though.

    Questions on carb upgrade

I suggest: Edelbrock Aluminum highrise performer intake Edelbrock 1607 performer carb, with mechanical secondaries and an automatic choke. The intake, because it works very well and its dirt cheap if you get a used one. The carb for the same reason. The mechanical secondaries will give...

Footwell, rockers and cab corner replacement

Holy crap, I have never seen someone eat an entire steak in one bite before! I think you bit off a lot on this one.

    Front Windshield

I would just check eBay for the part, and then check the listing to see all the vehicles that the part will fit. A lot of the listings have a big long list of all the rigs that it can go on. Then just work that list backwards to find your info.

    TBI spare parts

eBay is always a good place to check. Another resource is car-part.com That site currently has 15,000 junk yards on file with over 2 million parts currently listed. Its like every Junk Yard all in one place and most of them ship. It also offers an interchange search, so you can find GMC...

K10 Steering box output shaft moving in and out

Can the sound be repeated while the vehicle is not in motion? If so, I would make the noise repeatedly while someone inspects the front end, preferably with a mechanics stethoscope or a long screwdriver. If the steering box is making popping noises after its properly adjusted, and properly...

    Quadrajet Secondary issue?

Everyone has different methods and different procedures that they like. Some would do it this way, some that way. Your best bet is to read through it all and goes the direction that makes sense to you. I didn't read all the other posts, so these things might already be mentioned. I would would...

Finally found a good canopy for the K20!!

Sweet. Its great when things work out that way. Some people go buy a brand new one for $2,000 which seems insane to me.

If there is room, try getting in there with a mini pipe wrench. Or maybe a basin nut wrench.

I think a rod spun a bearing in my rebuilt 454

That depends.... Is the paperwork in you name? If so, look for people wanting "free fill dirt". If not..... You fill in the blanks. Another resource is "tribal" landfills. They make their own laws, so they can literally do pretty much anything they want. I called my local tribal landfill the...

    NP241C issues

If you use that specific product, clean the surface well enough, and let it thoroughly dry - it will hold. I have patched slashed tire sidewalls, punctured A/C condensers, fuel tanks, oil pans, and even transfer cases that had the exact same issue as yours. Just got to make sure the area is...

    NP241C issues

I would just clean it with rubbing alcohol, and then run a good thick bead of Permatex "The Right Stuff" gasket sealer down the seam. Maybe flatten the bead out with your finger so that its 1" wide and maybe 1/4" thick. I might not look pretty to the catalytic converter thieves crawling around...

I think a rod spun a bearing in my rebuilt 454

Looks like there is a seller on eBay. The labor cost would go way down if you bought a rebuilt motor rather than having your motor rebuilt, machine work etc. Remanufactured GM Chevy 7.4 454 Short Block 1991 1992 1993 1994 1995 4-Bolt TBI US $2,129.99...

K5 rear seat just wont latch!

That's a good question. I think its probably closer to a 13mm based on the size and weight, but I did not check that actual size. I was more curious about the spent cartridge. Its not a .22 and its not a large caliber either. No where close to a rifle round, but if memory serves its longer and...

K5 rear seat just wont latch!

I was slamming that seat down pretty hard several times. I'm surprised the coins and stuff didn't bounce around and rearrange themselves to allow the seat would close. But I'm sure glad that was just a spent bullet casing and not a live round. Slam slam slam BOOM! That would wake me up better...

    New front bumper and brackets

What I do is loosely install the brackets on the frame, and then loosely install the bumper onto the brackets. Then I use spacers or thick washers to compensate for any issues lining things up.

K5 rear seat just wont latch!

I double checked. Its a 78. So I am assuming its a stock rear seat.

K5 rear seat just wont latch!

Well ****. Thanks for suggesting pics, because you single handedly solved the problem. The new carpet mostly obscures the strikers. I had previously checked the right side striker to see if it was adjustable, which it is not. So to take the pictures, I pulled the carpet back enough to get pics...

K5 rear seat just wont latch!

I have not, but the latch moves freely. The problem is that the seat will not move down far enough for the latch to close. Imagine a truck door that wont close far enough to latch onto the striker. Like if the striker was adjusted too far in for the door to close, no matter how hard to press on...

    Rock Auto Closeout Sale 1987

I never shop on RockAuto. Archaic website, overpriced parts, and they charge for shipping. Amazon is cheaper, faster, and easier to navigate. You can get pretty much anything on Amazon at the best price, and the free overnight shipping is awesome. Plus, many times when you do an Amazon return...

    TH350 Torq converter bolts

Ha! Sweet ride. I would bolt that hood down right where its at, put some bull horns where the front bumper would be, and rock it like that on the road. Maybe get a personalized plate that says "MadMax".
