Harbor Frate Winches, good, bad, evil?

I think the breakers they use might be some or all to blame on the thermal overload problem. Maybe if they were all quality made breakers they wouldn't heat up so fast?

Scores from DIY Parts Yards, Pull A Part, U Pull It etc

That's interesting. Sounds like they don't want to lose any scrap value. Only reason I can come up with is that they want your "core" to use as scrap. Maybe its because metal prices are low right now and there scraping for more metal? Either way it seems odd practice to me.

1978 K10 auto to 4 spd manual swap

I woke up last night thinking about my shifter mounting. I wasn't satisfied with how the mounting for T-case shifter went so... today I redid it. Cut out a plate of 1/8" and drilled and tapped the holes for 1/4-28 bolts and welded top and bottom middle bolts for studs to go through from...

1978 K10 auto to 4 spd manual swap

Im planning to do just this as I have several options. I've probably shortened a dozen driveshafts but its been a dozen years ago lol. My question is how to measure length. I made the last one it had in there. I just forgot how. I can probably do some more research.

1978 K10 auto to 4 spd manual swap

Question time: I have a feeling ill be shortening another driveshaft because the one that came out is too short. My question is how to properly measure the amount of slip yoke inside and out.

    no fuel spray

I've had this problem once and it ended up being a bad pickup coil inside distributor. Not saying that's your problem but maybe worth looking into.

All apart. When I was looking up different 32 shafts allot of them came with the pocket bearing and I guess I assumed they all did. So now I am stuck waiting till Tuesday on this bearing unless I can get one 30+ miles away. I have plenty of other things to do while I wait at least.
