3/4 ton GMT400 Burb & ORD SAS and 6BT Swap

So far ive got the front differential out and all the IFS BS out. Cutoff the upper and lower control arm brackets. Cleaning the frame up a bit with the grinder and planning my frame brace, these frames are made to carry the weight differently and they have a weak spot. Several companies make...

    Stalling under take off

Like ricko asked. How long after you ran out of gas? Ive run out of gas a few time's in different rigs. If it were a clogged fuel filter it would likely have more trouble running on startup and get a little better after a few minutes. It could be a fuel pump failing too. Would be nice to be able...

    Stalling under take off

Thought you replaced the filter recently but I guess its been 5 years. Maybe remove it and check filter flow. I hate these intermittent problems that can be multiple things. Have you checked egr valve?

    Stalling under take off

Its inside the distributor and can only be replaced when the distributor is out. It plugs into the icm.

    Stalling under take off

Could still be pickup coil. Also check the wires going to the coolant temperature sensor on intake manifold by thermostat housing (has 2 wires) wiggle the wires while running. Odds are its the pickup coil.

    Stalling under take off

With those symptoms its probably something in the distributor or like ignition module or pickup coil or ignition coil.

What Trans for a cummins swap c10?

Back to original question. thinking about it being a 2wd street truck the ZF5 isn't a bad option as it does shift faster than others. You can actually speed shift it. I wouldn't even consider a G360 because of torque.

What Trans for a cummins swap c10?

I forgot about medium duty Fords lol. Good point. Electric vacuum pumps do work. I might have to get one for my Mazda when I convert my alternator to a delco because the vacuum pump is attached to the original alternator and im done with making it charge

What Trans for a cummins swap c10?

The cummins engine has its own vacuum pump built in. The port is by the power steering pump on drivers side. I have mine hooked up to my brake booster and works great.

    HEI Modules

Surprise!! I ordered 2 and they just arrived. They definitely look like there as old as the boxes are. They look like a gm module in lots of ways but they don't say anything. They are heavy and im sure good quality being as old as they are. Either way not a bad deal. Its just interesting that...

What Trans for a cummins swap c10?

I have a cummins truck and I couldn't afford an nv4500 so I ended up with the ZF5 speed and it works very well With my setup. Also you need to think about all the extra pounds. Its going to kill your wheel bearings. The engine alone weighs close to 1200#s lol. Im pretty sure the front suspension...

    Tire machine recommendations

Those are good for most but not as good for aluminum wheels for scratching reasons. If you can try to find an overhead style machine. They are much more versatile and can mount/dismount wheels with reverse drop and do larger wheels h tires. Heck I wish I had any kind of tire machine myself so...

    Rear seal leak

Im kinda surprised it is happening. But I guess 24 years could be why lol. I had a 305 in a 1990 caprice start leaking immediately after an oil change once. Changed oil again to what I normally used and it stopped leaking.

    83 K10 intermediate shaft seal

I just did both my steering box shaft seals. I got 2 kits to do it all. 1 for input shaft seal. 1 for output shaft (pitman arm shaft) seal The pitman arm kit comes with 2 seals because they are stacked inside with 1 washer in between the 2 seals and 1 washer on top below the clip.
