    It's a 1980 so it's a part time 205 transfer case. I'd venture to guess that the cast iron transfer case is stronger than the driveshaft tube. It more or less only gets engaged in 4WD on the street to lube the front axle. It clanked and rattled and made funny noises before rolling down the...

    No pics, but compliments of a lift at work and a helping tech the spacer for the front driveshaft is on ! I tried last night in the driveway - could not get the spacer to go where it is supposed to between the driveshaft and the t-case flange. The lift at work provides suspension droop...

    Second round of silicone on the firewall seal to see if I can stop a small leak that gets the carpet wet. Round 1 was successful but not perfect. I haved moved more towards the center with the silicone. Have not had a lot of rain lately but this weekend may be different as per the weather peeps!

    I am a bit confused on this one. The locking plate only goes on one way, or should, as there is a master spline. The turn signal cam has a limited amount of play. A GM wheel of that era should not be upside down unless there is mechanical suspension damage. Did you force it on by chance...

    What is this column part?

    Yes, they are supposed to be bent. When the key is inserted the back contact is pushed by a little tab the key moves making contact, and VOILA ! you get the BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ sound. Or, you disturbed that wasp nest you meant to clean out. You'll know, though. :anitoof:
