    Turn signal switch

Is the harmonica connector plugged all the way together? If so, still have the old switch? It can be plugged in to the connector under the column without being reinstalled in the column. If your hazards start working then I would say the new switch is also bad. Is the turn signal relay bad ...

    Front driveshaft - longer on a NP203 vs NP205 ? Same mount ?

Do you remember if the transfer case end of the driveshafts were the same ? ( Round mounting flange) My thought was to buy a 203 front driveshaft shaft and gain the extra length needed for less than what the drive train shop could lengthen the old for.

    Proportioning Valve and Bleeding

Save your old valve. My PV2 lasted around 2 years and started leaking. I noticed no difference between the new and the old and the old one is back on the truck. With no leaks ! :)

    Front driveshaft - longer on a NP203 vs NP205 ? Same mount ?

Morning all ! I was looking at gear ratios for NP203 vs NP205 low and stumbled across a post saying the NP203 would use longer driveshaft. My OE driveshaft is too short with the 4 inch lift (on the Sub when I bought her) and maybe a new shaft to fit a NP203 would be less than having mine...

Rebuilt Stock Steering Column or Aftermarket?

Rebuilt for the thought that more parts would be OE. Not real high on aftermarket lately but some are better than others and even a fair amount of the AC Delco stuff is from China... :bawl:

    1978 k35 proportioning valve question

I would leave it alone. The OE are better built and my experiment with an aftermarket PV2 unit, I believe, gave no better results and after about 3 years leaked. I had to put OE back on late last year. The rubber lines from the frame to the caliper can go had and cause calipers to hang. There...

Planning my Suburban build - Advice wanted

I'd agree that it looks good as is. I'd try to sell it as is and then find more of a beater to modify fenders, etc.

What have you done to your square lately??

Well, if the welds crack, hopefully the new mount won't. It almost twice as thick as the OE.

What have you done to your square lately??

Technical difficulties with the welding machine but another spool later good to go !

What have you done to your square lately??

Ground down. And, a sticking passenger side locking hub. Must have got water in it ... BTW, does the axle shaft normally have some wiggle or have my spindle beari gs gone :dancingpoop:?

One last carnage shot. And, they do angle down.

What have you done to your square lately??

Foothill Offroad Products on EBay. Item ID 203715811538. 45 bux plus shipping and tax. Matching them up they are thicker than OE and seem to have the correct angles. They may be shorter by a hair but it is hard to tell with the original still in place. It also looks like the upper...

What have you done to your square lately??

Shock mounts arrived. They look pretty beefy.:waytogo:

What have you done to your square lately??

FYI- one option I have found and may well use for lower shock mounts. The guy at work who is a welder said the easiest route is to cut the old off and then repair the OE or replace. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072YWZD8Y/

What have you done to your square lately??

Anyone know where I can get a front shock mount? No idea how this happened although yesterday 1 bump felt really crazy.:nono: Left front.

    Please Help I'm Stuck!

The above is only correct if you have wipers on the column and no cruise. You still have to deal with the wiring that runs down the column if you have wipers on the column AND cruise. If you have wipers on the dash the cruise stalk is held in to the turn signal switch with a screw that is not...

    350 tbi running too cold

Hopefully this link works- I just had a thought that this is a fail safe thermostat. Maybe. https://www.autozone.com/cooling-heating-and-climate-control/thermostat/p/failsafe-thermostat-7200-180/139156_0_0

Any idea what this goes to?

I think that's the plug for the wipers, but not 100% on that.

'78 K20 wiper and headlight switch selection help needed!

That picture is weird. It looks like you should have a numbered reference part, not a letter. How cruise would impact the choice is beyond me on a dash mounted wiper switch ... Intermittent switches look like number 4 and have a black round know ( # 6) to control the delay. I would ASSUME...

What have you done to your square lately??

What I did was discover a brake issue on the way in to work this morning . At work I discovered my aftermarket PV2 proportioning valve is leaking from the "nose" seal . (Left side if looking at it while mounted on the truck) What I will be doing is replacing it with my old one that I had to...

    Cruise gone crazy

This is a link to a download but it has a ton of info on the cruisemaster system. I do not know how to directly link to it off the phone which is why I did it this way. https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/cruise-control-problems.44965/post-950480 Let's see if this link works ...

Thoughts on how to recover from a slightly cross threaded spark plug threads in head?

I bought something similar ( if not that one ) for Goldie but never used it. I THINK it will fit just like a plug socket but can't say for sure. Seems like it would be totally worthless if it did not.

Thoughts on how to recover from a slightly cross threaded spark plug threads in head?

My first thought would be a tool like this from a local parts store. Get the thread cleaned up and rock and roll ...

    Column Gear Shift Detent

Don't know anything about them but this place and diagram shows it as number 65. They also say 76 and up so you will have to call. Good luck ! https://www.steeringcolumnservices.com/gmtilt.php
