I believe the JK was 07 through 18 and offered either the Pentastar gas motor ( 3.6l V6 ) or a diesel. They also came in either auto or manual. The gas-auto is by far the most common over here. Yeah - probably. Haven't got one yet - trying to get head of the "viability" curve that I see is going to hit a few years - ie. used cars no longer serviceable due to all the electronics on board. BTW - the offset cut shown in the bedsides I posted above was due to making up for a fuel filler flap area. Not necessary just to shorten the bed. Also, I have another set of pics somewhere where the dude actually cut and reshaped the front of the bed ( as it folds around the headboard filler... -

All the best info that I got on actually cutting and welding a steel bed floor came from the 67-72 board. May still be able to search for info there, but you are right, that stuff was "current" over 15 years ago now ! Biggest issue I remember for the Action line generation was matching the swept... -

Looking for bench seat options with a foldable back / armrest
Dude - you need these ! they are Crown Victoria seats - split bench, arm rests, foldable backrest and full electric setup. My son got them in a SWB square he purchased a few months ago. I'm sure you could find some in a local wreckers for cheap. Square sliders bolt on relatively easy ( see below... -

Not a criticsm, genuine question - wouldn't you want to fully assemble and run the truck before blowing it apart for paint? "S" cut with rounded corners - arguably the most structurally sound way to "cut and shut" .. -

Hopefully you have made an "S" cut to shorten the frame, rather than a straight or angled cut. The S cut is the strongest mechanically, and has the best distribution for stresses and strains. Also the intersection between cuts must be curved, not a sharp 90 degrees, this to prevent formation of... -

whatever you do - DO NOT let any bodyshop convince you to sand back to bare metal ( especially on the edges of doors etc. ). As bad as OEM factory top coats are, you will be hard pressed to replicate the original cleaning and phosphate anti corrosion prep from the factory. As stated above...- Fat 454
