    Wiring A/C help

Updated my wiring idea. I also found a relay that has two common 87 outputs so I'll be using that to trigger both the ac compressor wire and the ac kickdown relay. Amazon should be delivering supplies shortly... trial by fire... hopefully not electrical fire tho.

Help me build my truck - What should I do?

Also if you plan on doing any suspension work be sure to pick up a set of poly bushing. Energy suspension makes them and they are the best deal on rock auto. Ord also sells them with hardware and theirs are fully greasable.

    R134a conversion

I am in the midst of converting my system to r134a. I see alot of people talking about high pressure cutoff switches being necessary for r134a systems. I also see a lot of people who convert with no mention of using a HPCO switch. What's the deal? Is it necessary? And if so how do i go about...

    Wiring A/C help

I am in the process of getting my A/C fixed up and ready to go. For context I'm working with an 1987 r30 engine bay that has been molested up and down by myself primarily. In all my infinite wisdom 5 years ago at 20 years old I stripped out any "unnecessary" wiring. swapped in a 383 stroker and...

Help me build my truck - What should I do?

I believe ord front shackles are a bit longer to help stop the frame bashing that the really short og ones will do. My truck had 6in shackles in the front when I bought it and they work nicely.. whoever did it shimmed the axle aswell to correct the pinion angle.

Help me build my truck - What should I do?

I have 2.5 flip. Stock shackles. 6in springs. Rides okay. Eventually I want to switch to 4 in springs and 6in shackles. I've talked to ORD on the phone and read up on their literature available online. What I've found is: 1. high arch (8in lift or more springs) will likely require the use...

What have you done to your square lately??

Added the ORD 2.5 shackle Flip and got rid of the blocks. Did new poly bushings aswell. Had to do some surgery on my exhaust to fit it after the shackle flip.

Help me build my truck - What should I do?

For what it's worth my setup is 4.10, no overdrive and 35s. Cruising on the freeway is somewhere between 2500 and 3000 depends on traffic and my mood Ofcourse. That puts me somewhere between 60-70 mph. Aslong as your cab is sound proofed somwhat and you exhaust is done right there's nothing...

    Diagnosing mysterious sound from Tran/Tcase

Also two mechanic shops have looked at it. One said it was the transfer case but that they can't work on it because it's old tech. Other shop wasn't convinced it's the case and pointed me towards driveline angles or wheel balance. I suppose there may still be some perfect angle I haven't yet...

    Diagnosing mysterious sound from Tran/Tcase

Since I last posted here I have done a number of things in hopes of resolving the issue of the noise/ vibration. Here's what I've done: I wanted to adjust my rear end pinion angle and instead of buying another block with different angle... I convinced myself a shackle flip would be money well...

    Diagnosing mysterious sound from Tran/Tcase

So I took the rear output housing out and inspected it. After playing with it for a while I can't see how a impact would have much affect on seating the needle bearing as the yoke pinches the caged roller bearing agains a ledge on the output shaft. And the rear housing pinches the snap ring on...

    Body and frame welding needed

As of now the plan is to keep the seam in the same location. Use some nice big tapered fish plates on back side of the frame rail. And possibly do smaller plating on the top bottom and side for piece of mind. Any point to actually welding the vertical buttjoint seam of the two pieces of frame rail?

    Body and frame welding needed

So you think the one fish plate on the inside will do it for each side? ya that's what I'm was thinking.. if the joint is rear of the spring hangers it's only really stressed when I tow something every once in a while, where as if I put that joint before the spring hangers that joint will be...
